Because gorilla glass on all the newer droids for some reason get scratched pretty easy.

Just picked up the Droid Bionic and believe it or not the Laptop Dock. So far it has been amazing. The laptop dock was $299 but here is how I rationalized it. I was grandfathered into the unlimited 4g (Amen to that) Instead of getting a tablet and having to pay $20 per month for tethering, I am using my unlimited date from the Bionic to power the laptop dock. I can fully operate the bionic from the laptop doc except for the cameras. It does stream netflix full screen through the netflix app on the lapdock. The speed is amazing and my data transferred through my gmail account came over effortlessly. I may regret it later but I don't think so. I have been waiting a long time for this and am really enjoying the new toy.

Congrats on the Bionics. Anyone want to do me a favor and let me know if the Bionic fits the Atric lapdock or do you have to get the Bionic version (please tell me that you actually went and tried, not just a guess)?

Sales Rep told me that the connections are different. I'm kinda glad. This laptop dock seems to perform better that the reviews I read on the atrix.

some of my paid apps don't show up in market, ie: better keyboard, better alarm clock .. just a bunch of skins but not the actualy keyboard.

I found out that Better Keyboard Developers got kicked out of the Google Market Place. I went to Amazon and got for $2. It was worth paying for again. I love that app.

I got my Bionic this AM and I am loving it! I am not sure what everyone is saying about the screen pixelation? I'm not seeing it...and it's way better screen than my OG Droid. Super fast downloads, great phone call quality. The 4G is definitely fast!

There was a Motorola rep in the store, the VZ girl asked me if I wanted to try the Bionic out, I said "No, I'm already set on buying it." The Motorola guy yelled "YEAH!" haha I asked him about battery life, he said he's had it for 5 days or so, and he gets a full day with normal use [normal meaning not watching tons of vids, etc.]

I'm amazed at how much bigger it is than the OG, and also how thin and light it is. It's on par with iPhone. I hate that they moved the home, menu, and back buttons around, I'm so used to the old setup that I keep hitting menu when I want to go back. I also put the GO EZ Launcher on, I do not like the Blur at all.

I am considering rooting this one, to get rid of the bloat, but overall this phone is awesome...glad I waited! dancedroid

Ok just a heads up... if your using mybackup pro to reinstall apps backed up, make sure you check the "Allow 3rd party apps" under settings checked or it will mess it all up. Now I got all my apps back ... whew, cause some were removed from market.

Been playing with this thing for a couple of hours and I have got to say that it is just AWESOME! The feel of the Bionic unrooted is much smoother and faster than my old D1 was rooted and tweaked.

wont be an iPhone killer since iPhone5 is rumored to be coming in October.. but it sure will tempt some iPhone users to at least explore the dark side (android)
