ok, so i can dl it, save it as update.zip and flash it like i would a rom or anything else. This is just like a different market right? its not like a whole different theme for the entire rom is it? and im still going to be running UD2.1 after i flash this right? sorry for all the questions, i just wanna make sure im doing and understand all this right

i downloaded the black market from the link you provided. i then go into astro/download/ and find the black market that i just downloaded and i try to open it and it says directory could not be loaded, i just want to make sure its still gonna work if i flash it

Tried to open it? Why? I just looked at it in Root Explorer and all it is, is the META and vending.apk. I flashed it with 0 issues and thebowers work can always be counted on! Make a backup if you're paranoid though.

Is there any way to stop my droid from automatically downloading all my apps from the market again after wiping and flashing a new ROM to my phone?

Did you rename it "update.zip", click "Allow update.zip installation", and then "Install update.zip"?

Hey, guys...need a bit of assistance. It's been a while since I've updated my UD...I'm still running 6.0. I know, I know...life in the military keeps me busy. LOL Anyway, I've downloaded the zip file...what do I do now?

First of all, thanks for your service! Now on to the good stuff...If you have SPRecovery, you'll have to rename the file to "update.zip" (but without the quotes). Boot into recovery and wipe everything then install zip, then install update.zip...Boom, you'll be there. If you're using Clockwork, reboot into recovery and wipe data, then wipe cache, then scroll down to partitions menu and format boot and format system and then go back (by pushing the power button) to install zip from SD card, choose zip from SD Card and then go choose the UD zip...In Clockwork, you don't have to have it named update.zip and you can install it from anywhere on your SDCard...Hope that helps!
