so here's the deal
after the download, i clicked on it and it gave me the option of astro or rom manager. i selected rom manager. phone rebooted. and now i have no market.
i hate to be such a noob but can ya explain to me how to install this?
what i'm thinking is use astro, move it to the root of the sdcard. reboot into recovery and flash zip. is this correct?
I had the same problem, i cant get BM to work for me either. Now in order to get market back you have to reflash 2.5. Its a pain I know, i should of told you that before.
well that's what back ups are for i guess.
so what i mentioned about astro...should i try that or is that not the way to do it?

do you have a different link to 2.3.0? when i go to the one above, it says that i don't have permission to dl the file. also, should i wipe going from 2.3 to 2.5?
EDIT: never mind, i found a link. i still need to know if i wipe going from one to the other.

At this point im not sure why or how to install the black market. I say give it a day and someone will figure it out.

Dont wipe, but make sure when you install 2.3 to let it fully boot before booting back into recovery before installing 2.5
This was never answered. Is it sapphire again? Does anyone know the specifics, including voltage?

Im guessing is a 7 slot slayher standard voltage kernel.
Help with Lockscreen
I am running UD 2.5 (and love it). But I can't seem to edit/adjust the lockscreen. The Ultimate Droid logo is covering the top part of the Pirate Android Halo and I would love to fix it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am LOVING this ROM! Yea it is my first experience with a custom ROM but what a GREAT experience! There is a big learning curve with all the options that UD has...and trying to find some things (like all the launcher settings) was confusing at first. But I have my phone overclocked to 1.2 ( only had 1.1 with a rooted stock & a chevy kernel before), and I like the extra screens and all the goodies! I can't believe I waited this long to flash! ;-)
Under kernel version, it says "cm-stk." Is that referring to a Cyanogen stock kernel?
Anyone having problems with installing Black Market: if you go to the link below you have a number of options, including the vending.zip. The vending.zip would need to be extracted and installed. The others are flashable via Recovery so you would flash them like anything else from either Clockwork or SPRecovery (would need to rename if SPRecovery).

I had a ton of problems getting the black market installed. I spent pretty much all day yesterday trying to get it and finally screwed things up so bad I had to recover my backup from 2.3. Everything I tried I would end up with no market. The Vending.apk would be in the system/app folder, but it wouldn't install. I used SPR to do it. I finally gave up and from what I've read, there's quite a few people who have had the same problem.
Same here.. ended up with no market at all and to try not to screw more up I just flashed back to 2.4 and then ramped back into 2.5. Got the market going though by just flashing the Nextheme..
