I love Gingerbreads user interface, can't wait until a final, or at least close to final, release.

What is the difference in the UI? It all looks the same IMO. Maybe the power managment?

Is anyone able to highlight the biggest reason that gingerbread is better than Froyo. With out stating the obvious (like, the name change) for the smart @$$'s lol.

It turns yellow when you reach the end of a list and looks like an old tv when you turn it off! Jk.... other than some speed improvements it really is not that much different from froyo.

First, my mp3 ringtones are really soft. They are probably half the volume they were on UD 2.5. I have checked the ringtone volumes and they are all at the same level. Anyone else experiencing this?

I noticed that too but thought it was just me. I never tried reverting to my last rom to test it though. They definitely sound quieter to me.

Ok, I think we're through with the goofy answers now. And I do want to apologize, I just could not help myself. Anyway, no one knows how long it is going to take to discover all the bugs and then correct those bugs. By using us as Beta Testers, the bugs are discovered fairly quickly, but correcting those bugs will "take as long as it takes". And remember that most of these devs have full time jobs or are full time students. So it isn't even like they can devote full time to the problems. So, buy them a beer and let them work. We will get it when we get it. :icon_ banana:

I say "buy them a beer" because of the Buffalo Theory.

Copy and Paste is a big improvement, well I think it's a big improvement anyway.

I don't understand the complaints about battery life but mine is outstanding with the stock kernel!!

I bit the bullet and upgraded today. The battery life is amazing. I'm using slayher 1.25 kernel.

well ive had for 1 wekk now and thought i wouild let you know what im experiencing

the 3g goes away and then i have to switch off and then switch it back on then it works

the gmail does not sync automatically

somtimes it does not tell me when ive got a text message or email

One thing I have noticed with the latest stock build of UD 3.0 beta, is when I go to menu -> UD settings -> CPU Settings and set the max CPU freq to 800, reboot and it drops back down to 600. Is that supposed to happen?

I don't have SetCPU installed to set it but have not download it yet.

I think the screen getting stuck is specific to Handcent. It seems to happen after texting.

Gmail for some reason often has Sync off by default. Have you gone into Menu-Settings-Accounts&Sync, then clicked on teh gmail account listed below Manage accounts and make sure Sync Gmail is checked? Just making sure...

I am very impressed with this Rom. Had some force closes earlier but wiped and fixed permissions and it took care of those issues.

Other than that it is running very smooth with the stock kernel.

It seems like whenever I try to download an update for an app, the market always force closes... =( I love the effect when I turn on/off my phone. Looks like an old TV.

I actually had that happening with 2.5....I haven't tried 3.0 yet but I believe I read it doesn't have the ability 2 turn off oc....but my fix was turn it off reboot and turn back on
