The Ultimate Droid 3.0.0 Beta - 7 Phones - Nexus S Updated 1/10/11

I am still having a tiny issue with text messages not being delivered, but nothign like the issue a few days ago when I had a slayer 1.6 kernel. I went back to the stock UD kernel and I think I might have not had one text delivered to me instead of the 50/50 shot before.

The battery life is excellent, I have a extended droid2 battery in my driod 1 and after about 50 - 75 texts, 20 mins of voice and 10 mins of earphones / music I have hit the 2 day and 10 hour mark when I got the 15% / low battery alert. I do use live wallpaper and had my WIFI always on and connected.

I've had, surprisingly, really good luck with this ROM. Great battery life, no FC, and most recently (this morning) my data stays active after phone calls. I didn't do anything special or make any changes that I can remember. IMO.. Great work all around.

Did not see it here, so I figured to spread the temp fix. I've been on UD 3.0 for 3 days with this working.

Ttinsley's : I've found a temporary work around for the gingerbread 3G data issues after a phone call. I installed "Not Call Log" and "Restart Connections by dazbradbury"; configure Not Call Log incoming call and outgoing call to "other" and choose the Restart Connections App. It seems to work fine for me and both are at Android Market.

Possibly, however no other developers to my knowledge have gotten even close to where BlackDroid is with his new Gingerbread ROM. Plus a 2.3 tUD ROM is wwwwwaaaaaaayyyyyy different than a google ota 2.3 version. Nothings better than tUD man. Patients.

I ran the 300 beta yesterday but was having little connection issues so I went back to 250 (which is amazing imo). Just wait till the final 300 is out, I bet itll be amazing...

If the keyboard lights get fixed I'll have to give UD3.0 a try again! UD2.5 works so perfectly well for me, its hard for me to justify switching.

Also there is an app called Leds hack. You can make it a wdiget to turn on and off the leds on the keyboard and soft keys. Might be useful on its own or to use some trick like what was done for the data fix.

Well if the OP here would like, he should do a Temp fix roll up in the OP. Including these would make UD3.0 not so, beta. If you know what I mean.

open the app and look at the top of the screen. Under the are that says " End call action" is a drop down window. You should see other as an option. That will prompt you to select an app and then use the restart con app.

Do nothing
Go to home
Go to dialer
There is not options for "other".

Mine has been great on 2.5 and even better on 3 beta... More than 24 hrs with my typical use... Music, surfing, texting and phone calls... Stock kernel UD oc'd to 125/700 on demand...
