The Ultimate Droid 3.0.1 - Multiple Phones

Anyone thats running the prime kernel for CM7 that has any feedback on it? I'm getting good performance with pretty good battery life with the stock kernel but just wondering how the prime kernel works with this rom

I was running primes with this rom and it works well. It still works with the milestone overclock app as well and it also let's you enable compcache just like in cm

ok...this is a new one for me.

Today my phone forgot my accounts and unsynced itself. I had UD3 running for a couple days with no ROM related issue...just a few none updating widgets (which as I said on the other page I suspect is a GB issue)

Literally I had everything set up perfect last night, and today it was like I had unsynced my calander, contacts, and my Gmail....then completely deleted my google accounts.

Anyone ever see this before?

I had this problem the other day too. My accounts were gone sometime through the night, and so I went back to 2.5. I thought I'd give it one more shot though so I installed 3.0 again last night, and haven't had any problems yet.

So I've been running this ROM for a couple days now and have run into virtually no issues aside from the known GB issues. My battery has lasted 12 hours today and is at about 40% which is great for me comparatively, granted I'm running Prime's kernel in lieu of the included one which may be why. Everything is really snappy, and I think the relative quiet on this thread is probably reflective of that. Just wanted to give props to BD and Rafficax and let anyone know that may be lurking that this is one of the more stable, cool, calm and collected GB rom's that is out there right now and should give it a try.

Market problem?

I had 2 problems:

1. Google Talk error - wipe and reload (paying close attention to TB settings) fixed.

2. Market would force close every time even after wipe and reload. Fixed by downloading market.apk from another thread, and using Root Explorer to install it.

Other than that, this ROM is DA BOMB!!! Great work BD!!!

Agreed. I was running CM before this, and this is MUCH faster. The menu's seem to (finally) be hardware accelerated, and when home screen redraws do happen they are really quick and almost unnoticeable. Make sure you guys try this ROM with the stock launcher before going to LP or ADW, I don't really see any reason to go to another launcher since this bad boy has the option for 5 home screen buttons.

Only thing bugging me is I wish I could turn off screen rotation. Great ROM, thanks BD and everyone else who contributed.

So i'm not sure why but this Rom seems slower than the Stock gingerbread Rom Pete released. For example, whenever I click on messaging, it takes a second or 2 to pull up messages and then my contact pictures will take another second or 2 to fill in, whereas the stock rom does things like this instantly.

It just doesn't make a lot of sense that this one would be slower than the stock rom with the same kernel. I really love everything about UD but it's just a small pet peeve I have and it's keeping me away from UD which I really want to come back to.

I don't have that problem at all, my messaging loads pretty quick and the pics are there pretty much instantly.

I just flash this ROM last night and its running great till now, but the only minus side is I can no longer use usb tethering like I did in UD 2.5.0. Anyone face the same problem as me?

Here is what most users are experienceing at the moment

Here is the issue everyone is seeing with the overlapping..

That is when it is in my docking station.. as you can see the unlock is screen is broke
here is when its just charging,

Direct USB control

Not sure if this a ROM issue, an app issue, or a gingerbread issue but I cannot seem to get my USB mounting widget to work. I have "Extended Controls" and like to use its "Mass Storage" widget to mount and unmount my SD card while it is docked. This widget, however, has not worked on UD since before v. 2.5. When I attempt to add that widget to my home screen, I get the message "Your device does not support direct control of a USB."

Has anyone seen this or know a workaround. I miss this function and it is literally the only frustration I have at this point. Other than that, UD 3.0 rocks for me.

Thanks for any insight.

I noticed the same issue last night when its in the dock charing and overlaps stuff. Its kinda annoying but nothing huge since I only have it in the dock while I sleep

there are widgets that turn off screen rotation. switch pro being one.

this rom runs great, but the problem is consitetancy...i flashed this ROM on release day and each day since i dont know what performace level i will get from it. Yesterday the lag and unresponsiveness of everything on the phone was so bad I had to stop using it or go insane. Today the ROM is running so smoothly that I had to check to make sure i had the right phone...

and by the end of the day i bet it will go back to running like crap again....

so, I dont think my phone likes GB at all. So im going to give it a couple more weeks to see if it settles, and try a few other GB ROMS circulating and see if i can find one that likes my phone
