This technique works great. If you aren't restoring things via this method you really should be.

I have done this method 3 times now. Followed every direction each time. Every time I do this and reboot my phone my market stops working. It doesn't get a force close it just says loading then closes. Also I keep getting the Google Talk thing to pop up and I have no idea what that is. I never used the app and don't really plan on it. I would like to figure out why this keeps happening and if there's an easy fix. I think now I'm gonna try reflashing one last time and just restore the missing apps data after I have downloaded my apps from the market.

This is the same exact issue I am having!! Not to discourage you, but it happened to me too even after letting the apps restore via the market. Hope you have better luck then I did!!

I'm not meaning to pester you guys about it but I finally got it going by skipping Google sign & the only thing green checked in TB was sms. I think the gtalk is TBs accounts backup.

My battery was getting eaten alive by UD 3.0 on the default kernel. The battery is brand new (about a week or two old) and didn't lose this much juice on CM nightlies. I used the phone with the same apps I've always used, so I'm curious as to what could be the problem.

I have the battery problem too, otherwise seems smooth so far.

Where did the launcher options go? I hate that 3d thing, always seem to click the wrong thing.

I try not letting the market do anything. Before i log in to google, i go into privacy settings and disable google backup and allow app install from unknown sources. Then i log in and download titanium backup only and restore the apps i want and data. I didn't used to restore contact settings but found that i didnt have to merge all my contacts together every time if i did.

I didn't have market issues but i did have issues with a few apps, i just uninstalled them and downloaded those few from the market.

Might just be one of those "any given kernel/rom" situations. What kernel did you switch to & is it better?

Yes. This method is flawless and a must do technique when changing ROM's.

I switched back to my CM Nightly backup for the time being. I was at work and didn't want to mess with different kernels on UD just yet. Will try it again in the next few days though.

I have used this method dozens of times but if the ROM doesn't come with TiBu you have to download from market. I have flashed this ROM twice and it still does not allow me to download or sync the market. It doesn't even have a file mgr built in to recover my back up on the sd card.

Edit: I cleared market cache but unable to clear market data.

My issues so far is the ROM isn't playing well with a lot of my commonly used apps. So far the following apps are having problems
Handcent is not giving and pop up, status bar, or led new message notification. And yes, I checked the settings and they are all set correctly

Screebl will spontaneously shut down
Tasker will sponstaneously shut down
Temp monitor will spontaneously shut down

So is there an auto task killer built into gingerbread roms because I had this issue with liquid gb also and the rc version. so are these apps being killed or committing suicide...since so many apps are doing this I'm more inclined to believe its a rom thing. Anyone experiencing random app shutdowns?

Another thing to note is the same apps shutting itself down will sometimes starts itself back up...so not sure if its a memory management issue with gb

Just switched to raidzero's LGB kernels with B-Boy's venom theme. Everything's smooth so far.

just make sure you dont install old accounts on step 8 and 9. you dont need to check everything in green on step 8, and i recommend doing a "deselect all" on step 9 and only picking apps that you personally downloaded from the market (they should all be in white text).
