I'm using adw ex now and I had that problem but if you go to the ultimate Droid settings to the performance area and lock the launcher into memory you should be good. Haven't had one redraw or problem since.

Only issue that I am having is that DSP Manager FC's when I enable an item
did you select apps in that popup the first time? if so wipe data and click cancel on the popup and it will reappear after market restores apps to install any extras it missed.
pacman apk causes market restore to fail for some reason more often then not.

Just flashed a Sapphire kernel (7×125-1000lv) and its running the best so far... hit a quadrant of 1477
Only issue so far is battery life. Not getting stellar response.
Yesterday, in space of 4 hours, it dropped from 70% to 20% w/o any calls, surfing, etc. I may have Dl'd 1 or 2 apps and changed some UD setting preferences.
Am using Chevy ULV 1.25 but have it set at max 1000 and min 800.
Might try a few other kernels.

Great, solid rom. The fastest GB rom I've used. Battery life is a bit poor, but I have a charger on hand most of the day.
The issues I've had mainly revolve around the market. Things stick on "starting download", yet often actually download... but then there's only a small chance that it will actually install after it's done downloading. This is for new downloads and updates. I'd give the success rate at downloading from the market a ~30% success rate, pretty annoying.
Other than that, the rotary image when teh phone is in landscape/docked is screwed up. Also, if you have "always show battery status" checked for the lockscreen and you have an active alarm clock on, the two labels are positioned in the same spot, so both are obviously unreadable.

Thanks for the tip but it didn't seem to help. I switched back to the rom this morning and am now using adw like yourself....works great!
I can re-try that but Droid seemed a bit slow with stock.
Which one is it and how can I get it back w/o reflashing entire ROM again?
