IM still a little curious as to what this replaces though. is it just a them? or does it replace the widgets and all?

yea the reset wasnt that big of a deal the only problem is im at work and didnt want to go through all the non-sense of re doing all of my home screens and icons and all that stuff but the process is already started now haha

BTW, not sure if yuo are aware, but ADW Launcher has a built in Backup and Restore for your shortcuts and ADW settings. With that you can have all your shortcuts back in a second.

Just applied updated version,i feel that the newer version is great and better packaged. Thanks 928 for your hard work. really loving the droid does twitter app.

FYI, I have an even never version almost ready...tweeked some things to make it look even better....also finally took on the ugly Car Dock....changed every ssingle image, looks a heck of a lot better now IMHO.

Small request. Everything about this is fantastic, but I'm just not digging on the percentage in the battery icon. From an aesthetic standpoint, the numbers in the icon are not as smooth as the numbers in the clock, for example, or the other icons in the status bar.

So my request is two-fold: a.) is it possible to release/post an alternate version of the framework-res.apk without said numbers, or 2.) could you tell me which part of the framework-res.apk houses the battery icon so I could edit/switch it myself?

No need for that on the latest updates, however in the event you dont see a portion of the theme, wouln't hurt to Use ClockWorkMod fix permissions option...

theyve been randomly deleting or moving my shortcuts

That is an ADW issue... (and it is the Market version)... been like that ever since they added the resizable widget option...wish they would remove it.

You can go into system/app and delete (or rename to bak) org.adw.launcher.apk to go back to the stock launcher (it is also themed)

I too am not liking the side scrolling however I have no idea how to change it. I am a complete noob when it comes to this. Seriously took me forever to root this thing. I don't know where the system/app is located. On the phone? computer? I think alot of people on here are so use to doing this stuff they forget that even the littlest steps you may take as a "given", us noobs have no idea what youre talking about. Maybe its just me and i'm that slow when it comes to this but any help is appreciated.

Also, now my status bar has nothing in it when a text or email comes in. everything else worked perfectly fine until i did the adw launcher portion of it in metamorph.

Here, this will solve your problems in a blink of an eye...attached is my favorite ADW settings files.

Unzip and place the 2 files on the root of your SD card. Then Menu>ADWsettings>Backup and Restore> Then restore ADW Settings.

DO NOT use the Restore ADW Desktop settings or your shortcuts will be like mine and you will lose your shortcut placement.

It will give you super fast scrolling/screen swipes, a transparent App Drawer, matching Black Glass buttons when you press the Shortcuts on the home screen, "correct" app drawer scrolling...and the most stable settings I have ever had with ADW.

Been using ADW since day one and have a good grasp of the proper settings....and I don't mind sharing

OH, it will set you up with only 5 screens, but you can go back in and change it to what amount you like.

Just tried it........it says file not found. I'm horrible at this.



ok so 10 minutes later I still cant get it to find the file BUT...........in the menu>adwsettings portion of it there are a ton of different options to change stuff around. now have 7 screens again and stuff back in the status bar.

Might not sound cool to anyone lese but figuring it out sure makes me feel like less of an idiot. :icon_ banana:

OH, I also included a present for you guys. After the install check your LiveWallpapers, you may see a new LWP available in the list to chose from .....it was in honor of this R2 release as in R2"xx".....

If I tell the missing 2 letters it will spoil the surprise, like you can't guess it now.

BTW, I am disappointed no one has caught and/or mentioned the new Camera and Video Camera Icons for those apps, also in YouTube and on YouTube Widget...look closely at the "camera shutter eye"
