[Theme] 928Droid Black Glass X for Droid X !!!

Just tried it........it says file not found. I'm horrible at this.

SO you unzipped the attached file, and found 2 files inside "adw_settings.xml and "adw_launcher.db" and put them on the main (root) of your SD card..and when you went to ADW Backup and restore and it coudl find them??

Are you sure you know what I mean when I say "root" of the SD card????

BTW, been so busy I haven't updated the Main Thread about the new Update.

The main thing to know is you only need to apply the 1st 4 sub-Themes AND the ADW-Launcher sub-Theme.

Also note that there is now a FORTH "mandantory" sub-Theme. I separated the Framework-res.apk file from the previous "FRAMEWORK" sub-Theme. It seems to give a smoother install this way.

So just so it is clear, there were 3 Mandantory sub-Themes before, APP-1, APP-2 and FRAMEWORK.... Now there are 4 Mandantory sub-themes, APP-1, APP-2, FRAMEWORK and..framework-res

Make sure you apply all 4 of them, or things will look funny

FYI, on this update Facebook, Maps, GenieWidget , and Twitter apps are unchanged so there is no need to install them if you already had them previously installed.

This is the most amazing theme I have seen for android hands down. Are your updates being posted on the 1st page or do I have to search through the threads?

Also attached (not being critical but love this and want it to be perfect) is a screen shot from when I had no connection. The "retry" is unreadable.

Correct. a little message pops up at the bottom saying file not found or something like that. Files are unzipped and if you double click on removable F drive its right there.

Install keeps getting easier and easier thanks for that! Noticed my phone runs A LOT smoother now and seems a little faster... still trying to hunt around for your other changes

This only works on a rooted Droid X...

I don't even think you can use metamorph when not rooted


If you need help rooting your Droid then check out the forums for tons of help on that. When you're rooted then you can install 928's theme on MANY ROMs that are out there

Typicaly when I am not so swamped I make announcements in the Thread and update the Main Thread Post #1 with a Changelog/Details and make it very clear there is an update...I also announce updates on Twitter (1 guess as to Twitter username)...BUT, I have been so busy trying to get you X guys up to speed and am now behind on doing the new updated Theme releases for Droid 1 - FRG01b (odexed/Deodexd), FRG22, BuglessBeast, Cm6-RC3, Insanely, LithiumMod, Sapphire,Simply Stunning......

PLUS, I just got a PM that DroidForums shipped me a Droid Incredible so I can create my Theme for it....and of course the Droid 2 Theme as I think they will be sending me one of those too.

Just not enough hours in the day for one old guy!!!

BUT... I will try to get the Main Post updated tonight....because I know the more informed I keep everyone, the less questions I get

Speaking of that, the guys in the Droid 1 area already know this, PLEASE NEVER send me a PM about an issue with the Theme (unless it is some stupidly embarressing mistake I did)... this is very Important!!! Now about that darn "retry button".........live with it I can fix it easily , but it will make 10,000 other areas have an ugly grey stock button instead of the sleek Black Glass button. One of these days I will solve that small issue, but it won't be today...or tomorrow,...or........

got a question if this is supposed to be like this...some buttons are black with black text on them. like if it asks you to agree/disagree, yes/not, continue/cancel type of selections.
this is a picture of button without me interacting with it

and this the the same button while i'm pressing on it

it would help if first one had white text on black background, unless i'm missing something.

Yes, I think you are missing the last page of this thread....someone must have ripped those pages out...

Have you logged back into to yuor Google account??? It is common when updated files to have to log back into your Google account.

When you opened the GMAIL app, it told you exactly what to do, it basically said to go to MENU and select accounts to log/add back in to your accounts.

Let me know HERE if that doesn't work...
