Sorry if this has been asked before, but is there any chance of getting a themed Swype apk?

I've started on it... kept getting pulled away by all the Froyo updates

Now that we are "Official" I should have more time to work on it.

Is there a way to get rid of the themed twitter on here and get the regular version back? Its too dark, can barely read it, and it always logs out. You have to log back in every time you get on it for some reason, and its really annoying. Thanx

I noticed on mine it will not update unless I go in and refresh it. I have it set to 15 min interval and updating via wifi only is off. Just fyi, running first leaked 2.2 odexed version.

So I wondering if there is a sbf 2.2 leak yet since I'm at a brick state right now after doing the ota 2.2 then going back to 2.1 spf. I'm still in a stuck bootloader error status. Official verizon stores don't have recovery for the phone yet?? What should I do??

Just go to the Market and accept the newer Twitter update.

FYI, You probably already had it which is why you are having the issues, clearing the Data in Manage Applications would fix that.

Due to how aggressive Moto has been lately I would not hold much hope for a leaked 2.2 SBF for a while ...if ever (hopefully not).

Call the nearest OFFICIAL Corporate Verizion Store (not those crappy affiliate stores) and ask them if they have the SBF (or call it the "Phone software file" to not sound so knowledgable, your choice for the new 2.2 update yet.

Tell them the truth, your phone locked up after the 2.2 update ...I will leave it up to you to elaborate further to the steps that caused the lock up....or not.

But IMHO there should have been a disclaimer with the new update to tell you not to use the leaked 2.1 SBF afterwards!!! :icon_eek:

So it looks like I'm going to have a new phone sent out to me, once I get it what do you recommend for me to do once I recieve it. Should I root and go to the leaked 2.3.15 and stay there into a deodexed rom has been put out with the official 2.3.15 update in it?? Or should I do the ota official update and then root using the Droid2 root method? I'm concerned about droid2 2.2 root process first off because I'm not familer with SDK or ADB commands at all. 2nd there is no way to go back to a stock status once updated official 2.2. At least from what I'm gathering, I just want to do what makes the most sense to get this done being rooted / deodexed with bgx back on my Droid X. Thanks again for all your help and assistance with this.

I sure hope others learn from my frustrations with this and don't do what I did

Also what you did to deodexed. I'm very unfamiler with ADB, SDK commends or anything like that, if there is a simple one click method to these steps that would be great or I may need some step by step instuction on how to use ADB and the SDK commands and tools.

There is no non-adb way to deOdex. I used this method for that. Luckily, 928 has busted out an odexed version of his theme.

There definitely is a one click method for rooting but I have no experience with it. It was posted on this forum today but maybe the mods deleted it cause I can't find it now. Some googling might help. I used the Droid 2 method on rootzwiki. It is very adb heavy. PM me if you get stuck.

The Odexed r2315 Theme is designed specifically for the STOCK OTA 2.2 v2.3.15 Update ONLY....so I guess that is a yes.

bad news bears!

so i installed the theme via rom manager. did the clockwork mod backup, and after it installed. it got stuck on backup assistant for the initial setup. when i attempted to boot the backup it gets stuck at the moto boot logo.... NO GO!

In the future do not do it that way... you should boot into recovery make a backup manually and then flash the Theme without wiping or doing anything else. If you checked the 2 boxes in ROM Manager (Backup and wipe) when you applied my Theme that is what caused your issue. That should only be done when flashing FULL ROMs, NOT Themes.... there is no reason to have to go back thru the intiial setup when flashing a Theme.

Either that or you accidently flashed my DeOdexed Version over the Stock ODEXED OTA.

IF you are unable to get back into recovery to restore your backup (it may take repeated battery pulls, but it should eventually go it to recovery), send me a PM.
