[Theme] 928Droid Black Glass X for Droid X !!!

As much as I love this theme overall, I like to tweak the visuals to try different looks. Changed my battery icons and added some color to the 3G icons. The blue arrows on the 3G is the connected status and the arrows are green when data is being sent/received. Also themed my Swype keyboard. This phone just gets better and better...lol

Nice! I like the swype keyboard layout. Is that also done for the standard keyboard? I guess I could take my theme apart and do it, but figured I'd ask. No need to re-invent the wheel.

No its just for the Swype keyboard. Think there's one for the standard keyboard tho. Got it here:

Yeah, I went back to the stock odexed like it is out of the box b/c so many apps were getting updated by the market and not getting re-themed...just seemed like it could get out of hand quick and not worth the risk anymore w/out it being updated.

Using this theme on top of Apex 1.0 with no problems. I think my Droid X seems faster with Blackglass on this ROM. This is a great theme "Thank You"

I have just installed ZapX Bazinga 1.6. Dont know if my files are Odexed or Deodexed or how to actually look for them. I have just done a complete SBF to go back to stock so my phone is clean minus the new ROM. Which version of 928 should I be dowloading??:icon_eek:

Hi, I've been at this a while now and having small problem. I read through as many pages as I could to see if it was explained, but haven't found an answer yet. I have a rooted Droid X, and yesterday installed the 928DroidBlackGlassX-DroidX-OTA2315-DeOdexEERR-THEME. I've downloaded 928DroidBlackGlassX-DX-Swype-Patch.zip, and cannot figure out how to install it! I tried putting the file on the SD card (directly on the card, not within any folder), renaming to 'update.zip' and shutting the phone down, booting in recover mode, and selecting the update from SD card option. I got an error that the signature was not complete or something like this. After reading more and more.. I downloaded the ROM Manager app, selected 'Reboot into Recovery' and selected the file that I had previously renamed to 'update.zip'. The phone reboots each time with no problems... but once up and running, the themed swype does not appear, it's the same old swype I have always had!

I LOVE the BlackGlass theme, and the swype patch looks awesome, I'd love to get it to work, but can't seem to figure out what I'm doing wrong. Any help would be great! Thanks!

Are you using Droid X Bootstrap to boot into clockwork recovery?

Are you using Droid X Bootstrap to boot into clockwork recovery?

I used DroidX Bootstrap when I initially installed the BlackGlass Theme.. but I was entirely sure of how to use it to install the patch. I'm learning still... be reading fairly extensively and trying to become familiar with all of the methods/app/programs/terminology/etc. I've done my best to understand everything before executing anything! I think the first few attempts, I didn't use bootstrap when attempting to install the patch. I've got it working now though!!

I opened the DroidX Bootstrap, chose 'Reboot Recovery', and I had first tried the option to install update.zip from SD card. That didn't work. So I tried again, and opted to choose zip from SD card, browsed to the original file (not renamed) that I downloaded (on my PC, and transfered to the SD card via USB - to a 'custom themes' folder), and selected it. On screen I saw that it was updating files, and at the end.. success!! Rebooted the phone, and the Swype Patch is up and working.. and let me tell you, it looks awesome!

Thanks unseenme! Though I think I figured it out as you were posting that, it definitely would of led me in the right direction.. and once I saw your post, I guess it helped confirm that what I was doing was correct
