[Theme] 928Droid Black Glass X for Droid X !!!

I am hoping this theme returns for the latest update since I used it.

Does anyone know how to theme the Universal Moto Messaging Widget? It was black in this theme and I hate the stock red. I have searched every forum. Does anyone besides me use it? Thanks for your help.

I have tried many times to get the new OTA .340 but it has failed each time. It makes me think that it is not compatible with the 928 theme. Has anyone had any success with the upgrade? If not I will have to wait on Dave to return.

I went to daves web site and down loaded the back to stock odex file. I installed it then did the down load and it worked fine.

Hawk I followed your advice sort of and went to Daves web site and down loaded the "back to stock deodexed file". I thought we had to stay "deodexed". I still could not get the upgrade to install. Is it ok to do the odex file after we have installed 928Droid BGX 2.3 once which deodexed the phone?

I used the odex zip to return to stock, but also had to remove some root stuff (overclock apps and maybe a few others) before I could get the update to apply... after a bit of fiddling it eventually worked. z4root worked to re-root after updating.

I did the odex file without any issues. I don't think I needed to unroot or anything else but I also have not removed or frozen any of the stock stuff.

I am using Darkslide Rom V4. Do you think it will work for on a custom rom? I really just want the Black Theme Universal Email Widget.

If you know anything about theming and editing... you can port the 928Droid theme from the other OTA updates and get it on 2.3.340. Currently... I have the following from 2.3.340 themed to 928Droid Black Glass X

It's all a work in progress.... I can give pointers on how to edit these files... but will not post the files without 928Droid looking them over and saying it's ok. There is still some tweeking that I need to do... but it is fully functional. It's a matter of getting all the images out of the other themes and replacing the files in the new updates.

I am definitely still a Noob with the DX. Do you know the name of the file that has the image for the Universal Email widget? I know to save as a zip and then open to pick it apart.

Yes it is. The Blur version is red which I hate. This is the only place I have found it in black. Any chance I could get the apk from you?

You are awesome to provide this to me. I really appreciate it but it won't install. Says Application Not Installed after going through the process. Using Super Manager. On Darkslide Rom.

Extract the Apk from the zip... ADB push /system/app/MessagingWidget.apk.

Or go in root explorer.... and overwrite the apk that is already there. Then make sure permissions are good.
