Alright, should be some time in the next 2 wks. Mostly just got a few speed tweaks and a bug with wycontacts and the 2.2.2 phone to fix

Thanks! Need to change that wording though, the vacation was a couple weeks ago! Now you're helping pay off the Credit Card from it though!!
 
Haha yeah man I know the feeling. I have puttering around with some porting and combining of some themes here and there lately, and I realized the effort that goes into putting these together and making them work right. I know making the ROMs is tough too, but taking them and putting your own touches on them to make them look even better takes some great talent also, and the blue is just ridiculous! Keep up the great work man and can't wait to be running this theme on GB (Liberty or Apex I don't really care as long as it's stable) ..

BTW, I recolored the icons and took the X icon for 1X out of watermarkd and recolored that for you theme if you might be interested, also darkened the signal icons a little bit and made a lighter version for when not fully connected in GB. Let me know if you'd like to have a peek at them.
 
sure man, you have my email now, send me a zip with the icons, and i'll take a look... i recently replaced my 1x icons with this set, blue of course, think they fit pretty well.

So another question, how obvious are the XML edits for this theme? I have been comparing Apex 2.0 and your theme files and just trying to become familiar with what is edited to create the theme. Is it basically colors that are edited for themes and nothing else? I was using one of the theming guides that is on XDA forums and using the handy color indicator (0x0800001C) to find where the edits are done for colors.

I was just going to try and putz around to see if I could get a working framework and systemUI port going for myself and am new at this stuff. I can replace images no problem, but porting XML edits I have little experience with. Any help you can give would be awesome. I just want to mess around with theming a bit and wanted to use your theme to see if I could port it. Thanks!
 
Colors.xml, and I forget which xml it is for the progress bar, its in the layout or drawable, i'd have to look. And its best to edit xmls when they are decompiled with apk_manager, so that it is then all plain text and html colors, instead of hex coding.

Thanks man .. I will see if I can do this and see how it goes lol.

Also, I can read hex coding just as easy as plain text .. I look at hex coding and binary files so much at work that it looks just like plain text to me :).
 
Must ask, what do you do for a living? Network Engineer here, so no hex code for me, and very basic binary.

Electrical Engineer w/ Computer Concentration. Basically Software Engineer with lots of Hardware background. I work on guidance systems for nuclear submarine missiles. :) .. lots of hex and binary involved .. lol
