Appreciate the time and effort you are putting into this. I think that it is really cool that you are making a theme that is for one kinda difficult and two is user requested. Shows that u are dedicated to what u do

I've thought for a while a copy of the standard theme done in replacing the black with John Deere Green and the white with John Deere yellow would make a popular theme up here in the mid-west.

I think that in my original post I suggested a dark chrome/diamond plate wallpaper to go with the theme. I thought that it would help the icons and widgets stick out. Below is a first attempt at what I was talking about. Please let me know if I should keep working on this or trash it. Or maybe that it's not quite what everybody is looking for in a chrome theme.

P.S. - I'm not trying to add myself into this theme project. I'm just trying to offer a visual reference as far as my idea is concerned. If any of my work was to ever be used for this theme or other theme I think that I would bust a nut!!!! If you guys like this feel free to download it, tweak it, and use it. If you make a better version then please send me a copy.

keep going there buddy!.. I really want to be able to have a wallpaper folder with at least 20 different ones to choose from. Versatility is the key! DO your thing till you like it (maybe it already is) and let me know. I will add yours and anyone elses to the folder.

As far as progress goes, I am 266 images in so far. Doing all the png files then going back and doing the .9.png files. Framework 1st. Then I will do at a minimum, the apk's that are included with UD2. Gmail, Facebook, Twitter, Music, Settings, Phoe, Contacts, etc...

Just takes time I am spending anywhere from 2 - 10 minutes per image depending on what needs done. I figure there are (between the frame and the apk's, around 3,000 - 4,000 images.)

I use Gimp, my hand-drawn art, my photography, and a little bit of PicsayPro when I don't have my computer with me. I also use alot of other programs but only for one or two effects that I like and that's it. :blackdroid:

Photoshop is a great program. It's hard to understand at first, but once you understand it, You can do some awesome things with it. I'm still learning how to use it.

In order to get a chrome effect. Check if Gimp has a levels option, and play around with the black and with levels. As well as the hue and saturation.
