This thread is about motorcycles!

178bhp at the rear wheel most of the time all you can see is the back end lol :icon_ owned:

Back when that bike appeared as a prototype, I bought a few bikes from Suzuki. On every customer survey they sent me I would write, BRING THE B-KING. 178bhp, that has to be fun. When it was just an idea, it was turbo charged with 250. It was supposed to have these features too:

"An advanced computer system is integrated to the bike. There are self-diagnosis systems, advanced telemetry, which can use a mobile phone for remote maintenance, setup options, and even a GPS-based weather warning system, in case you are heading for a rained out area, and much more. The engineers at Suzuki are supposed to design a helmet with a GPS navigation system using the visor as a display."
There was some speculation in some magazines that you would be able to re-map your power commander by dialing your home pc. That would've been nice.

They are a lot of fun, but riding at highway speeds are a bit buzzy, as you have to run it near redline to keep up with traffic. Check out the DRZ400 if you want a Motard that can be fun in the dirt, but still keep up with traffic easily.

The B-King is a great machine, about the only thing that can be said is that it is heavy. Upwards of 500lbs dry, so figure in the 540lbs range fully fueled.

Other than that, the looks are subjective, you either like them or you don't.

It is a really cool bike with a monster motor that you can ride on all day. I like them.

I have been a motorcycleaholic for many yrs.

WOW THAT WAS FAST lol....i looked at them yesterday actually it felt really heavy and 5 speed turned me right off of it tho but they look pretty good most duel sports look stupid haha...and im going to be pushing it offroad pretty hard i need a dirt bike but cant afford both!!!

@Getsome122- Nice picture of the CBR. What does your Harley friends say about your rice burner?

@kparks- Having worked at a Suzuki shop and owned a DRZ400SM, I can say the DRZ's are very soild machines. The only other bike people there would brag on were Yamaha's. The WR250R looks like a performer, I would take it down to my local MX track, though.

By buying the usb adapter off ebay and downloading the free software, you have full control over the ecu settings. I have a pc3 and a xtre but don't actually need either if i had bought the adapter first...you can increase the rev limiter, full mapping of all gears, pretty much everything.

Of course everyone always pokes jokes but in seriousness everyone respects the bikes I ride and what I am capable of on them.

Most of the people I ride with have also been a student at one point as well or will be in advanced classes soon.

Most people around here just respect the fact that you ride and unless you are just an ass I am the same way. As long as its two wheels I don't care what ya ride except for scooters lol.

If you a casual cruiser or drag racer, knee draggin track rider, weekend canyon carver or whatever. Its the passion for bikes...

I am just one who tries to enjoy it all from street to track to dirt....

Once you get rid of the afterburners I think the looks are amazing, very intimidating..as for the weight, it's only heavy in the garage. As soon as its rolling it is so well balanced the weight literally disappears. I am more comfortable in the twisties with the King than my buddies ZX6! He made the mistake of riding it lolololol, he says he is forever ruined until he gets his

No way I would ride a bking over a 600 on a track. I preferred my 750 over my 1000 on the track

I agree that it is much to heavy for a pure track bike but on the road where I spend most all my time I couldn't ask for a better combination of performance, comfort and the ABSOLUTELY MOST IMPORTANT THING.....smile factor!! You will not be able to ride a B King without giggling in your helmet, I don't think its possible.:)

1990 VFR750, street and a GSXR600 for the track.

I was going to get something sportier for the street but I recently decided to see if I could make my track bike street legal.

I'll post the "before & after" pics after I get her going :D

I'm VFRweasel on bayarearidersforum.com and I do miss the VTR.
