This thread is about motorcycles!

I like the rider :D

I think both Bostrom and DuHamel had bad ones there. But, as I recall, both were making last gasp desperation moves. Am I too old to remember correctly?

Yeah, that is Amanda, she wanted to pose on the bike, and who was I to say no? haha

And yes, you may be getting old. Have you started farting dust yet? LOL

Well, when I first "shared the track" with Nicky Hayden...he was 10. How's that for old? :)
And Colin Edwards lapped me in T12 when he was winning WERA championships...

Aaron Yates rode right through me at Loudon once. I was in way over my head.

@SquireSCA Watching those videos brings back memories of my days riding the streets with friends from local clubs. 20+ of us would hit the back roads. Many twisties around here. Never did track rides, but I worked some corner stations at Roebling Road in GA. Went to help a friend from a local Suzuki shop we worked at. The only competition I've done was Hare Scrambles. Opening up my GSXR750 was fun, but I lived for the turns. Thats why I say my DRZ400SM was my favorite bike.

@WERA689 & SquireSCA Keep the shiny side up and good luck this spring with the racing.

Will do, CJM. I won't be racing, but I do plan to do several track days. There is Road Atlanta, which is an awesome track, and they just built a brand new track about an hour from here that shows a lot of promise:

Atlanta Motorsports Park and track - Sports Cars, Karts and Supermoto

Membership is steep, at $8000 up front and $200 a month, but you get 60 track days a year. I need to find a new job, so that is out of the question, but for bikes, you can sign up with clubs like SportBikeTrackTime and do a full day at the track for about $195.

The layout and design will be more like Road Atlanta and Barber Motosports than Tally, Roebling or Jennings...

I am going to try to get out there in April or May, hopefully my girlfriend's back will be healed by then and she can get out there as well. Her little ZX6R should be perfect out there.

I think AMP is a long way from being 'ready to race'.

And maybe I shouldn't name drop Scott Russell or Doug Polen...

Nah! :D :D

I remember reading about them in magazines in the early 90's before I got my first bike. The only name I can drop is Josh Hayes. He's from the MS Gulf Coast, Gulfport to be exact. Cant say I raced with him though. He would visit the Suzuki shop and hang out. I would see him at the riding trails sometimes. Nice guy.

Which fairing kit is that on the Gixxer? Custom, or Aukmart? I had a 2006 GSX-R750 and I loved it.

I got it and the original owner had only put 2000 miles on it, plus the following upgrades.

Galfer SS braided brake lines
Traxxion Dynamics AK20 forks
Elka race shock sprung for my weight
Yosh exhaust
Bazzaz fueling box
Gilles adjustable billet footpegs and controls
Puig tinted double bubble screen

Had a custom dyno map made, and it was putting down 133hp at the wheel. Really fun, really confidence inspiring bike.

More Pics

Here are some better pics of my baby. Enjoy, with 178bhp at the rear wheel most of the time all you can see is the back end lol :icon_ owned:
