yup just tested it with homerun battle3d and a few other games... and ty i will :)

@ zschiffman - I think you must have done something wrong if your apps didn't reinstall from your sdcard with my method. I've had multiple ppl test it and it worked great for them (including sweeeeet above).

CC...does the nandroid data restore work ok when you switch from one rom to another? ie.. CM to CVPCS or LitiumMod to UD, etc?

I was wondering, what kernel would be the best to run with UD8? I was thinking a Chevy, but is there something better someone could suggest to get decent battery life and a low temp? a P3 maybe? I really want to make UD work on my phone, it's amazing!! I've always had draining and heat issues before with UD.
Personally, in my opinion, the stock kernel is a beast! I clocked mine 125/600 and it ran flawlessly!! But I run a different kernel everytime my battery drains just to see the different feedback(if you wish) that I can acquire. Now Im on Slayher's 1000 and my phone ran good but the stock kernel ran better, so far. Chevy's is up next for tryouts. :) (pic is my phone on Slayher 1000. Batt life shown as well and that's mostly texting(heavily and like one phone call :icon_eek:)

Personally I like Chevy, but I also think its good enough on the stock 800 kernel. Super smooth!
Agreed. :icon_ banana:

It always has for me. Make sure to have a backup just in case it doesn't for some unknown reason. Can't hurt to try :D The only time this hasn't worked for me is when i was DOWNGRADING a rom i.e. 4.0 back down to 3.0. Report back and let us know how it goes for you.

How do you get the stock kernel back, just re-install UD8 ?

Prolly so but what I did was after I installed UD8 and had my phone set up the way I wanted, I did a nandroid backup. So now if any kernel I switch to, isn't as smooth as the stock, I can perform a restore and be happy. But im sure you could get it somewhere. Just not sure. *scratches head*

I just want to say that after flashing many roms this is without question the smoothest one that I've ever used. My battery life has increased and scrolling through screens has absolutely no lag what so ever! Thanx for a terrific rom and I'll be sending a donation your way soon.......

I get a "Status 7" error in ClockWorkMod Recovery. Something about... asserting the boot image? I'uno lol. Help? And is it even worth going through all the trouble? I've heard so many great things about it but now I'm starting to have second thoughts, per account of the fact that I can't install it and from what others have said.

Cornicakes - Just out of curiosity, what is the difference between doing this and doing a full back up and just restoring the data of a full back up? The reason I ask is that I used to do the full back up and then just restore data after flashing a new ROM and it that process stopped working for me, at least using SP Recovery. I have not tried using Clockwork.

Do you use SPR or Clockwork?

I think it saves things different that way. I ONLY use sprecovery myself. I know at some point my method might fail but until then I'm happy with it! :D
