Ultimate Droid Froyo eXtreme 8.0.0 - Droid

loving this rom,2 questions,is there a problem for anyone else with 3g or phone siganl strength, and why does the market take so long to load, even when running strong WiFi?thx
oh im running chevys lv1200 if that matters

No went straight through clockwork including wipe 3 times and then wipe boot IMG and System.... I have one up that I have tested a few times and is rebooting ok... I did not have a market sync but thats ok... I'm just afraid its going to happen again. I havent tweaked any of the UD settings yet.. i'm about to change the LEDs and see.. cross fingers

Please just switch to sprecovery. Most of the problems I've seen boil down to CW or RM. Just sayin......

Really? I have loaded with CW Recovery every time. Never had issues yet. But I always wipe and install directly from Recovery Console text menus not from rom manager gui. I always figured Update.zip was agnostic.

I will second this. I always boot directly into cw and manually do things. I have never experienced the need to re-wipe or re-install ever. I think the issue is really rom manager. Letting an app install and wipe for you takes the control out of your hands and the way rom manager installs and wipes is really half or quarter assed. I only use rom manager to update the recovery images.

Sent by nailing my note to a messanger, punching him thru a window on a 40 story building where on the street level another messanger would take the note from the first messanger and deliver it

It's worth a shot to try an alternate recovery. You've not had good luck with one on this ROM try the other......

Always worth a shot.

Just wanted to let anybody who reads this know that I installed over SS4.7 without wiping and have no encountered anything wrong.

I made a backup
Installed UD8, Luna Theme, and Chevy 1.1 Low Voltage Kernel all at the same time. Works like a charm. Lot of options. Good to see UD back in business.

Glad it all worked out good for you! :D

I've done this a few times and had no problems most of the time. Just like you, a backup is always best before changing anything major (rom, kernel, theme)

If problems occur, then wipe and try again :) .

When I go into Settings > Location & Security > I only see 3 options in the Screen Unlock section
Setup Screen Lock - Lock screen patters, pin or password
Show Custom Message
Custom message

should there be something else in this section to allow me to customize the lock screen?

Lovin the new rom BD!!!
