Unleashed 2.5! Blur-Be-Gone Spray for all those annoying bugs!

I've received a few SMS messages three times (not just three notifications, but three copies of the same message.)

Running 2.5 with NexTHEME.

I figured mine out. The text messaging app was in the Gala theme and for some reason it was causing it to send multiple times. I deleted the conversation.apk from the theme and reaplied it. Problem solved.

Were you receiving some texts three times, too? How did you delete and re-apply it? (I'm quite new to Android.) I wonder if this theme has the same problem.

Yes, I was receiving them three times. People were also being sent them three times when I would text them. I use handcent for texting and in my app drawer I had handcent, messaging, and the droid 2 text messaging app. I narrowed it down to the text messaging app and removed it from the zip file then just reinstalled the zip.

Got it - trying that now. Thanks!

I'm loving Epic, but I'm having a strange problem.

Whenever I get a text message, my phone does not vibrate and my onscreen keyboard is not vibrating. There is feedback for swiping the lock screen and for pressing the four soft-keys under the screen. I get my text message ringtone no problem. I just don't get any vibrate during text messages or typing and I have no idea why.

Any thoughts?

Damn.. same issue after removing Conversations.apk from the ZIP and re-applying the ZIP.

Any other clue?

I dl'd and moved .zip file to root of sd card but when i went into bootstrap recovery to install it, the zip file did not appear in the list. Has anyone had this problem or know why this happened?

is there a way that i can enable the stock sms app?
regardless of what i try i end up with the same results.. the app opens.. then closes immediately.
no errors, no FC, it just closes right out. i can even see texts in there.

Try the Messaging app.

i pulled the apk from a stock/rooted droid2 and when i try to install it i get 'application not installed'

matt, first off, i have to say nice work with this rom. i only had it loaded for a few hours. there are a couple things that i could not get use to.....
1. i LOVE the d2 stock gallery. i loaded from the droid x files release.... not the same
2. the integration of blur in the stock system is too deep down, needless to say i had it all tied together nicely and i liked the way it flowed.

if u could just alter the blur to make it easier on the eyes this rom would kill it. it is extremely fast.
thank you for the hard work.

Just installed this ROM a couple hours ago - totally liking it so far! Glad to see Blockbuster gone, among other things.

I was wondering if there was a way I could install flac support with this ROM? Back when I had a droid, that was a killer feature of cyanogen for me. I know meridian can do it, but it has to have the ugliest interface of any music app. Thoughts!

been using this for... i dunno, a week or so, and it's pretty awesome. i'm having some random restarts and occasional screen unresponsiveness. but it's way fast.

Issues to date

I installed this 3-4 days ago and so far I like it much better than the stock ROM.

Issues that I've seen to-date:
- Cannot add a new event in Google/Gmail calendar with the phone. It kills the app every time I attempt it.
- Random restarts. I'm getting 2-3/day and I've yet to find a pattern.
- Music App still does spooky things. i.e. pauses for no reason (screen off, laying on back) and will crash but not give FC, just lock device up. Some times it comes back others, not. This one is more on Google though b/c this happened w/the stock ROM.

Great work, keep it up!
