Too funny how the number is so different for different segments of the country.
I believe your not only supposed to do this once a month or so "in case towers have gone up, down, tweaked, enhanced etc" but also whenever you change your plan in any way.
Not sure if this is one way... in other words.. not sure if your phone updates to jive with the cell sites of whether the cell sites also upgrade info on thier end about your phone..... who cares.....
I agree... wonder why all phones regardless of the location can't be auto triggered to update prl once a month in addition to what you may choose to do manually.
As good as Verizons network is... this would make it even better if all parts are communicating well.

In Virginia was 51731 before update ...after update 51803
Wondering if they are consolidating all the smaller networks into one larger one for better integration of cell towers in the network? 51803 seems to be popping up a lot now.
