[v0.8+] Liberty Bug Reports

After installation I ran the customizer and rebooted. Upon reboot I stayed on the silver circling liberty icon forever. When I receive a phone call it brings it out of this and takes me to the screen to answer my phone. After I hang up my phone won't let me do anything at all. No buttons work except the power button and I can scroll the notification bar down and up but that is all. Nothing else.

I wiped data/backed up as instructed and everything was fine until I ran the customizer. I think it may be associated with choosing Blur launcher.

First of all, Thanks to the Liberty Team! Your hard work and dedication will be enjoyed by all. By the way $5.00 is nothing for the work these guys do!

Upgrade path(Droid X): Rooted GB .596......Liberty V0.6(Wiped).... Liberty V0.7....Liberty V0.8(Wiped)

No major problems yet. Two posible small bugs.

1. When home screen is refreshing after closing something else, occasionally wallpaper does not load right. Half the wallpaper and half black screen becomes visible. When I swipe to another home screen it gets fixed.

2. ADW Launcher 2. Im not sure its fully baked yet. From what I have read on the net its about 2 months out. When on the home screen, press menu and there is not a button to customize ADW. This option was available in the previous version. I like ADW because I can make it look and work like I want to.

Once again thanks for all your hard work. I will always support you folks with the quality of your products.

P.S. Does Liberty work with other Home launchers? Lanucher pro, Go launcher etc.?

What should I set my Battery Mode on? Performance? Custom? Nighttime? Battery save? My battery life is very poor for some reason, I use Droid Overclock but it never drained this quick before update.

The only bug I have encountered is that when I picked blur home from the customizer I boot looped and couldn't get out of it...had to nandroid back to .07 and reinstall .08...I figured something would happen with that though since the changelog said "could be buggy" other than that best liberty GB so far...loving it!!

A few bugs here:

1. Market force closes a lot and fails to install a lot of apps. I think it's due to this ROM using an older version of the market (2.3.4). Any modification to that market (flashing any other version, 2.3.6, or 2.3.11) does nothing but force close.

2. No themes work. I guess that's a duh. I think I'll make a separate thread about that - seems like people are still doing it.

3. When changing customizer to landscape during customization, it exits itself, then after a short while it force closes without finishing it's customization.

4. The updated Superuser from the market will not install. I found a flashable .zip here: Superuser - though I have yet to test it.

I love Liberty a lot, I've been using this ROM 99% of the time I've had my DX, but I would think you guys would put a newer market on it. I was kinda shocked when I saw that it was 2.3.4.

Edit: That Superuser zip worked.

I grabbed the zip file from here copied the superuser.apk to my phone. Went in with root explorer to the /system/app folder and renamed superuser.apk to superuser.bak and then copied/pasted the new one from this link. Clicked it within root explorer and said install. Worked perfectly.

i searched for it in this thread but i didnt find it. when i try to choose a ringtone, whatever app i am in at the time (sms/gmail) stops unexpectedly and tells me it needs to force close. are there any known issues like this one?

I Have Issues when changed to "ADW launcher", a lot of FC.

First again all my recognition to the work of Team Liberty

I don't get it, v0.8 is my first Liberty ROM so can't compare.
I read when people said is work for them without a bug, but just can't get it.
For me that is not the case, I am not sure what I'm doing wrong.

This is my third list of Bugs (Jun/13 LGB v0.8 at DroidX):

I again REflash GB .596 Pre-rooted P3droid and the update to Deodexed from p3Droid
then wipe data, cache , dalkin and install Liberty v0.8
Without makeing anychange go to LC and choose "ADW launcher" and
after reboot all was FC, and a lot of error message about apps, framework, market, music, etc, etc not working.
It looks great all the options for ADW launcher, but
apart from "Launcher 2" the other two are not working well.
I know this is a work in developing and developers announce there are still bug, and this is my two cents for helping in there work.
Hope the Team Liberty continuous improving there great work

p.d.: I try to reinstall "d2 bootstrap" in my DroidX and error windows appear about not have "SU" so it seems I had partially lost "Rooted" too.

SOLUTION: Ok, I know time to Re-flash again (I was enable to got to CWR so I'm Reflashing all now)

Icon Selector doesn't work for some icons...specifically the stock dialer icon.

Actually my data is not working only with dolphin browser right now? And why is the 3G symbol white sometimes and yellow other times?

liberty toolbox saves backups in clockworkmod under a folder called backups and it needs to be just backup

Everything great for me.wiped data flashed Tom.resored all apps with titanium backup themed market Facebook syncs perfect voila I'm a happy camper.thanks liberty for another great update.

i just installed v.8, coming from v.6. I did a wiped data and cache. I'm getting the sync icon in the notification bar and I cannot figure out what is going on. Ive tried the usual suspects: deleted and re added all email accounts, batt pulls....help
