Looks like I'm in the minority here. I actually don't mind the price hike. I've had the same bill (give or take a dollar or three) for the past 3+ years. The way I see it is, they STILL haven't completely done away with UD, even after all these folks have jumped ship over the years for fear it would happen "any day now". Yet here we are, ANOTHER year almost over, and ANOTHER year moving forward showing that it's not going away anytime soon. The more people that jump ship simply means the more it benefits those of us that don't plan on going anywhere. The fact is, Verizon has been using these "scare tactics" for the past 4+ years and it's been working out quite well for them. And really, let's call a spade a spade.... they ARE just scare tactics. The last few years thousands & thousands of people have gotten rid of their UDP's.....I mean really, only 1% of their customers are still on UD? That's crazy! (And awesome! ) lol After this new plan is implemented, even less people will be on UD, thus making it even less of a concern for Verizon moving forward. That in turn will help to secure my UDP for years to come. I use a LOT of data each month, so IMO 20 bucks (actually 40 for the wife & I) is a small price to pay to never have to worry about my data usage. If I were to use even half the amount of data I use on another carrier, or even just another Verizon plan, I'd be paying a whole helluva lot more than my current bill which is $181. And now + $40. That's $221 a month for two UDP's, and now we don't have to buy our next device outright? Schweet! [emoji41]
