Im sorry. i was just maken a stupid joke. what kind of files could i drop in and be recognized because ive tried to do some video files but after the transfer i couldnt find the files.

Where did you drop the files, which folder on your SD card? Download Explorer and make sure when you go to /sdcard and than the folder you put them in that they are there. If Explorer doesn't see them, the files aren't there.

Also, make sure your phone is unplugged from the computer. If it isn't, you might not see anything on your phone that is on the SD card because the computer has a hold of it, so to speak.

Sorry.. I should have expounded more Nick, but in the instructions I gave you I mentioned to be sure to "unmount" the card.... until you do, the phone or the droid will not have access to see them.

It works in vice versa.... when the droid can see them, "not mounted" the computer can't.

when it opens on my computer after i mount it. it only shows a DCIM file and a Lost.DIR file. i just dropped it in the box, i didnt drop it to either file. and how do i unmount on my phone?

Updated my first post. From here on out, everyone please read the FAQ FIRST to see if the answer to your question is already in there! And please make sure that before you ask a question, please follow the Initial Troubleshooting Steps! This will help you to diagnose your own phone and will reduce on the amount of questions I have to ask you to see if you performed these steps on the device. I will assume you read them and followed those step from here on out.

Any suggestions, please PM me. If you think a question should be put in the first post, please let me know.

Thanks,
viperboy

Why does it take up to 6 hours for me to send/recieve an MMS?

Does it fail constantly for 6 hours? Do you get any error messages? How many bars do you have usually? Does this happen in a certain area? Does it happen when you are sending/receiving from a certain person or carrier? I need more details to help you out...[/QUOTE]
No error messages, I set up a delivery report and it just says pending, I'm usually at 3 or full bars at my house next to the window with 3G. The person I was trying with is on a T-Mobile G2, it also took about 30 minutes for it to email myself a picture also, 247k.

Clearing the call log does not clear the frequently called list.

Your right.. I cleared mine and my frequently called list dissappeared.... later it was back...... sounds like after it syncs or somehow it comes back.

I went to my online google account and could find nothing that tied to calls I've made and I too can't find any other way to delete them......

Seems I"ve done that twice in the past and never noticed they came back.

There must be a hidden file that allows them to repopulate.

Seems there are plenty of other people with the problem too... sorry I couldn't help... hopefully Viper will know the secret.

Issue 4928 - android - Can not delete frequently called list from favorites screen - Project Hosting on Google Code
Outbound call history, can't erase - Google Voice Help

Maybe this one holds a key......
Removing Frequently called numbers from contact list - Android Forums
The new version of Call Log Assistant was released a couple days ago on the market and enables you to delete the frequently called list. I've tried it and it works

Hey Viper, Im a noob to forums and I saw that there was a problem with the Droid deleting SMS messages. Ive had this problem several times on 2 different Droids. Ive used the Messaging app included with the phone and 3rd party apps and it will still occassionally delete all of my threads. Any suggestions? this is probably the most annoying thing ever and is making me want to wait for the HTC Passion

Right under your favorites there is the frequently called numbers that are logged. Is there a way to get rid of those without permanently deleting the contacts? Or is there a way to get rid of that function all together.
Thanks

Go to your contacts, then call log, then menu.... clear call log... poof!.. they are gone!
Clearing the call log does not clear the frequently called list.

I clear the call logs all the time and it does nothing.
Viperboy please tell me u have the answer; thanks

When I try to take a flash picture on the phone, I get a big white arc on one corner of the picture. Pictures without the flash have no problems.

Any ideas why this is happening or how to fix it?

Viper,

Any thoughts on my problem with the gallery semi-freezing all the time that I posted above? I followed up your answer with my response above. I only have 20-25 pics on the phone, all except 1 taken from the camera.

I got my phone around November 21 and had to trade another for another one a month later in December.. Can I trade it back for cash and use that money for the HTC passion that's coming out? I heard something about the holiday trade in being until January 13th? Could i trade my Droid back in ASAP for what I bought it for and get the HTC passion when it comes out? Thanks for the consideration
