ok... I have the Droid Eris.... don't know if anyone can answer my question since all I seem to see are motorola based questions... (personally, i like the eris better than the moto. hubby has the moto I have the eris... Mine is more user friendly, can get to things faster and easier than he can)
ANYWAY,.... I have a question, recently, I have been getting an error on my msgs, and nothing else. It's random, and doesn't seem to matter if I have 10 msgs or 100... but I get this msg,"The application Messaging (process com.android.mms) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again," I don't have any option but force close, and when I do, any messages prior to this and any I recieve during this are all deleted. it's mostly just annoying, but any help would certainly be appreciated!!!!!

oh hey! there's already an update available??? since when? thought it wasn't out yet!!

SuzyQ from SD?

This may be an insane :icon_ devil: question (in fact I'm sure it is) but is there a way to print this whole thread? I'm certain there are tons of information I could use and I just don't have the kind of time it needs to stay online to read it all... as I am on public transportation (buses and subways) I can read through these a lot quicker offline and still catch up before it hits page 90.

How can I get this whole thread printed into a pdf file--anyone? :)

Here is the thread in a PDF up to your post. If you look at the top of the thread, there is a thread tools button where you can show the printable version. If you want to kick it to a PDF, on Windows you would use something like PDF Creator, or the ability is built-in on a Mac.

omg, I didn't know--didn't see that link! you're a doll, bllarkin.

woow, this thread looked a lot bigger than that. this printed to only 8 pages... amazing.

thank you. :icon_ banana: smooches ><

Thanks again, bllarkin... I think that link isn't exactly complete... it did print 8 pages but missed a lot. However, I now know what to do now that you've shown me where that link is.

This still helped tremendously. :)

Oh, it's because even in the printable version it breaks it into pages. Not sure why that is, considering that defeats the purpose of the printable version, but there ya go.

Anyway, back on topic.

What about enlarging font size?

Except for one major issue, I'm happy with my Droid. That issue is font size. The font size on the email apps is just too small. Even with glasses, it's a strain. I can't understand why Verizon/Motorola did not provide a means to adjust font size, and why they're not addressing this essential accessibility issue. I decided to keep my Droid but if this issue is not addressed soon, I will be forced to give it up. Almost everyone I know has a problem with this.

Will the next software update include an ability to adjust font size?

At the very least, why isn't there an external app that will provide this crucial feature in the meantime?

Where can we write to (at Verizon and Motorola) to make sure this issue is at the forefront and taken seriously?

Thanks!

Your paid apps will be available for you to re-download and you can save you pics on your PC.....

When did it start getting slow? last few apps you've installed? Have you re-booted the phone?

Does viperboy still post?

I'm on a Verizon plan now with a BB and I'm wondering if I have to change data plans to one that isn't BB specific, when i get my droid in a few weeks?

my data plan now is called Email for BB, or something like that.

it's $29.99 and unlimited data, but is there a different general one for non BB's

You might try uninstalling apps one at a time until you find a culprit. You need to be careful about overloading it.

As for the factory reset, if you use the same gmail address, your apps will remain attached to the address and you simply reinstall them, and, as long as you don't clear the SD card, your pics will be fine.

I'd try the one at a time approach first though.

Good luck.

The $29 plan is all you need with the Droid....
