I have a question.... I have the moto s9hd bluetooth headphones and when I get a call or message or any notification while using them (for music) the phone speaker still plays the ring tone, instead of the headphones? I would think the ringtone should play through the headphones when they are connected. I also get the same behavior when connected to my car stereo via the headphone jack.

Is there a setting I'm missing? Is this a bug or do all phones work like that when using a bluetooth device or connected to a stereo?

my motorola droid.android whatever it is lol (bought it 2 days ago) will not receive calls, will not receive texts, or make a call.. nothing works on it, no internet either but it is on and i can play with the phone but nothing works its like the signal is cut off and i can not find out how to get it back on. what the hell has happened?

does anyone know how the browser awareness actually works.
1. Is it using cell tower triangulation.
2. wifi triangulation.
3. GPS triangulation - which is what I would expect.

I am using a web page app that needs the browser awareness to work properly with GPS triangulation and it is not working.
Which leads me to beleive that it is not using GPS for the triangulation of the location.
It works with the Iphone but not the droid.

I have the S9HD headset as well. I can tell you that mine work fine for media, not working so good with the phone. My situation is different than you. I hear the incoming ring, but then get no phone audio through the headset when I answer the call. I've tried just about everything. Love the headset and sound with media, but I think there are issues with this headset and the droid. I've tried every suggestion people have offered, and still no luck. I have successfully paired and used a Motorola S305 headset, works great but I really like the S9HD form much better! Wish I could give you more

I have a question regarding an alternate upgrade. Im going to use someone elses upgrade (with their consent of course ) to upgrade to a droid. Now, when I purchase the droid with contract extension, it asks for data plan. I choose a data plan, but I will eventually want it to apply to MY line. How do I accomplish this. Do I do this as if im upgrading theirs but activate it on my line? And How would I switch the data plan over?

They will have to activate on the first line for a few seconds (the number with the eligible upgrade), then they will switch it to your number (and switch the other back)...the whole process takes about 15 minutes (over the phone). Just call verizon or go to the store.

Native Email Issue on Exchange

I've had my droid for 7 weeks and up until a week ago everything was great. I use the native email app to sync up with my exchange server email at work and it was working great. But all of sudden it wouldn't open any email but give me this message " Application email (processcom.android.email) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again". Since I was off from work, I wasnt in a big rush. I've tried

1. Battery pull
2. Deleting the account and turning off the phone.
3. Repeating #2 plus waiting half a day to reload information and set up new account.
4. downloading the K-9 email app, deleting the exchange account (again) on the native email app and setting it up on K-9. The K-9 app opens email ok but it is having all sorts of problems sync'ing correctly or reliably.

I searched this forum for several days on this or related problems and 4-5 people have reported similar issues but the only advice given ( by some one else) was to pull the battery.

Is there a way to delete and/or restore the native email app?

When using maps press the menu button (left of the back button at bottom of screen) and select "my location".

Where can I get an answer - and solution - to the reason that I am constantly receiving the same piece(s) of e-mail over and over again? This is in a POP3 acount. I also have a gmail account but it doesn't seem to have this issue.

It doesn't matter if I delete them, mark them as read or actually open and read them. If I delete them, they *sometimes* respawn and are delivered again.

A droid question

I have 3 email accounts Default -gmail, an AOL and a POP3
when I get mail into the combined inbox and select reply when I send it just stays in the outbox If I hit send mail I get connection error msg.
If I compose mail and send it to the address on the "inbox" email it goes right thru no matter which account I'm using.
Checking account setting on ingoing and outgoing all work fine

not the gmail but the email it keeps closing and its been this way for 2 weeks i got it back the other day for 5 mins worked again and now its acting up and then thing is when it syncs it tells me the error every 30 mins to an hour HELP!!!!

Droid Capabilities Exploited

Viper... do you know why, or in your opinion...

Why can't the DROID talk and surf the internet at the same time, is it a system thing, or 3G capability, a phone design thing, or did Verizon not feel its important or a priority need, and do you see Verizon making the DROID capable of doing both soon since At&t is exploiting the restriction of talking and surfing. Since it can do both when using WiFi i'm guessing its not a phone thing, but maybe a system thing. THANKS
