It's funny really, Apple is against Flash for all the right reasons, it's a horrible proprietary product that forces the web to be non standard. Apple wants the whole web to move to HTML5 which is an open solution. Flash is generally disliked on the web but of course many sites use it for a lot of things.

A few years ago everyone wanted an alternative to Flash, and HTML5 was born, now we all clamor for it on our phones (including me), mainly because it is so pervasive.
 
Theres no reason for phones not to have flash now and be able to upgrade to use html5. Apple is stupid for limiting what is products can do now becasue they believe it'll be obsolete in a few years.
 
lol i love it we keep on seeing demos and stuff when are we the user going to to actually get flash on the phone the app has to be done by now

Rightly or wrongly Apple is fighting a battle. If it keeps ending up on phones etc. it will never go away and the want it to. It's up to them I guess and it will really help us in the iPhone v Droid battles :)
 
Ok ok so does anyone anywhere have any idea when flash will come? I realy want to watch hulu on my phone lol

I also think we have to be careful what we hope for. HULU (or the TV stations at least) do not want us getting things on our phone's, they are reluctant to expand HULU to any device they do not have direct control over. It's possible that flash on a phone might not be as 100% featured as we would like.
 
Don't matter because Hulu is about to start charging for their content so I will never use it when they do that.

This is exactly what I suspect is going to happen since, you can no longer view Hulu videos on the Playstation 3 browser. It's really easy for Hulu to decide what platforms are and are not allowed content. I have this sneaky suspicion that Hulu might be a pipe dream on the Droid, I really hope I'm wrong.

One thing I do find sort of worrisome is, with flash on your phone will it be easier for someone to shove advertising to you? You might recall, browser pop-ups are partly due to flash based content.
There are goods sides of Flash but, there are also the parts that annoy the crap out of you.

I take Apples side on this fight, HTML5 is a much better option, I've never been all that impressed by anything from Adobe.
 
Adobe AIR will also accompany the Flash update which should be coming out soon it was shown and announced at that mobile electronic conference occurring. Also Microsoft is working on getting a Full version of Silverlight onto Android as well this year.:)
