Watermark'D General

Great theme. I love the attention to detail. I am using on Sapphire 1.0. I have two questions. In the Sapphire version, the maps and market icons didn't theme. Was that intentional? Also, do you plan to include the new facebook theme on your CM version in a future Sapphire version.

I'll be adding the links back for UD 6.0.0, when I get off work. With an explanation.

Thanks! As a UD user i am very curious.

I was just getting to install this on my wifes droid that is now running UD 6.0.0 but i see the file was removed. I will wait for the post with the explaination. I have the original install on the SD card in my phone so really i can still put it on hers but i would like to know what the deal is first.

OK. I just read the "closed topic" on RedmanX's themes and see what went down. I understand why you did this Stuart and am greatful that you will continue your work on the UD roms and will be putting the file back up for download. I prefer your work myself. It's much better when the theme is built into the rom itself and not isntalled over it.

thanks again.

(i was hoping it was not a Blackdroid issue. I see that it wasn't so i feel better about it all)

Alright, link to Watermark'D, full UD 6.0.0 ROM is back up.

Went back and forth all day with this, but in the end, I felt it was better to just let whatever happens happen. My take is this:

Look, I have been theming now, almost at a big fat three weeks. Three weeks. This is my first theme. First one I have ever tried/worked on/edited, anything. Do I take pride in it, hell yeah I do. Did I appreciate seeing it ported over? Not happy it happened without being asked. Some guy asked if he could use it for his phone at SDX-Developers... no clue who he was, or phone or anything. Simply said yes, because he was cool enough to ask. Did it piss me off even more when I saw he had credited everyone in the Android community but me for the work on it? Oh hells yeah. I don't ask for anything. I try to do anything I can to appease the communtiy, as seen with the multiple ROMs I am trying to support, even when I have not flashed any others (call me a fanboy, I stay loyal to CM...the whole reason behind the theme). Once that started, I had to customize each theme for whoever the ROM was. And if you read throughout the pages here, that was many, many edits. I have put tons of time and effort into this. Probably a bit too much. Meh.

Anywho. I do not place full blame on Blackdroid. He gets part, because it is his site... and man, if you are going to let someone have that kind of access to it, you need to know what they are doing. I have seen you said they are not part of "your team", as you don't have any, but really. If he would have bashed you and your ROM on that site I bet you would have deleted it. Correct?

Either way, in the end, it only benefits the community to keep up support for his ROM. Too many user could use it, come up with a great idea, it gets added, etc. etc. Denying people who have absolutely nothing to do with the situation is a tad bit unfair, at least in my eyes. I know I rambled, but just wanted to let that be known. Respect goes a long ways. I do this for a thanks, and that is it. I don't have the clout the developers do, or the guys that have been theming for quite a while do, but I do give respect when warranted.

Hat goes off to you, Stewart! I must say, I've tried MULTIPLE different themes along with multiple different ROMs. For some time there I was convinced that the Key Lime Pie theme (from Kangerade) was the only way to go. Then the 928Droid Black Glass theme came about, and I rocked that for about 2 or 3 weeks. I thought it was a great theme.

But your Watermark'D theme is, by far and wide, one of the cleanest, most complete themes I've ever tried! I am fully impressed that it is your first and only theme, and that you only have 3 weeks of theming under your belt. Congrats, man! Congrats!

Stoked that UD support is back up, hope it lasts and kudos for turning a huge negative into a positive. I'm sure I speak for a lot of UD users when I say your theme completes my phone. Hope that your future updates continue for UD as well. BIG UP's to STEWART1CHAMP.

Pure class Stuart. That's all I can say. Nothing less than a scholar. Three weeks of theming? You are the top themer out! Stellar

Stewart (Sheldon?), i noticed on the Sapphire theme that some of the icons don't match up with the other themes - are you still working on it, or am i behind on a download?? Thanks!

I just noticed it as well.
It says facebook and twitter aren't themed.
Here is what I found so far.
Voice icon on the top image.
The Phone, Call log, Contacts and Favorites.
Navigate, Phone(different icon) Maps, and voice search.
Not sure where to find the Automatic and X at.

I really like this theme though.
Never installed a theme until this one with Sapphire 1.0.

I, for one, appreciate your work. I just downloaded the zip file. Is this a combination of UD 6.0 & Watermark'd together? Assuming it is... do I need to delete the cache & data or just install the ROM?
Thanks for your help.

Also... I don't know how to Overclock. What do you recommend for the original Droid running Watermark'd UD6.0?

Stewart for all the hard work theme, Rom, app developers put into their work a simple token of appreciation is not much to ask from anyone. If someone wants to port this to another Rom while Android is open source again a simple PM to ask if it's cool goes a long way. Thanks for your hard work, GREAT theme.

Market and maps don't theme on Sapphire. I use ADW launcher and have usually 2-3 times a day have to hit apply theme in ADW settings as several icons lose theme..not sure if this is an ADW thing or not. I'm testing some kernels right now for someone for Sapphire so I'm flashing several times a day, I doubt it has anything to do with that though.
