What Android Device Do You Think Is Truly Elite?

I have great reception with my droid 2 in my house as well. I think that it is what droid fits your needs and personality and the D2 is like an extension of me. The greatest thing is that everyone that owns a droid is so passionate about their phone. So, Droids Unite!

Topics like these never work because if you notice 90% of people just vote for the phone they own. Unless you've had every android phone you can't really say. I've only had the D1 and D2, and while they're both great, I'd like to try out the DX and DI before I'd even attempt to vote for one.

I've only owned one smart phone, the D1. I'm going with that one.

It's consistently gotten upgrades faster due to it easily being rooted. Being on the RS I've seen issues with various other phones. While every phone has various issues the rooting scene is overly complicated by all the restrictions in place.

Now, I bet if the DX or D2 was not locked down at all and its kernel could be OC'd to twice its original specs folks would be saying one of those phones.

Toss in a condition that you can't root any of them and do a comparison and the D1 will fall off the list. Running just stock the newer phones are faster. It might not even be a moto phone. I hear good things about the Fascinate too.

Droid X hands down.
Well if you say that I gotta ask you this...
Why is it better than the Evo4G.... Please answer me that question because my friend is always trying to shame me with his device and his Kickstand, HTC Sense, 4G speed and all.
:)

On paper, the Evo4G is hand down the best android device to date as it offers the most complete package of features, including a 1GHz processor that can match any android processor to date on the market. Other features that Moto don't offer include the front facing camera, kickstand, 4G capability and HTC Sense UI. Sense UI to me seems more refined Motoblur feels to cluttered and makes me feel like its only purpose is for social networking.

Just to let you know, the specs really sucks on evo compare to droid x. Do you want a fast 1ghz processor (droidx) or a slower 1ghz processor (evo). Also the evo comes with less memory, and droid x really last long when its charged up compare to the evo. 4g really kill the battery but theres more to it to like the droid x vs evo.

I pick Droid X, beautiful phone, comes everything you need, comes with 24gb memory, and what makes a 10 is the name of the device. Droid X and the evil look on the droid's.

Droid X, above and beyond the rest, hands down. Who could say no to the biggest screen on the market, incredible build quality, the best camera (video and still), one of the fastest, and IMO the best-looking design on the market? I don't know how you could compare the original Droid to the X! To top it all off, the screen is absolutely phenomenal! Just it's presence alone screams greatness. Everyone I know is always shocked by how big and brilliant it is. There is nothing better. Period. And that's my opinion =]

The question of what the best Android device out there is always behind the tens of reviews and comparisons we see... And now I want to ask what you think the best you think is. This question does not mean I want you to copy and paste a long spec sheet, this question wants an answer in the form of your opinion as well as specs (if needed).
I personally can say the Droid Incredible is the best Android device I have ever used. I mean with its great features, sexy build quality, clear AMOLED display, and specifications up the *cough*... What can beat that? Also it doesn't hurt that I can say, "Sorry, that's my Droid... Ill turn it down" :)

So reply and tell us what you think the must elite device in the Android world is.

Can you make this as a poll?

Whats make it even shine is the 2.2 that droid x now run on. I like the fact that it doesn't look gurly like the evo compare to droid x. The processor on the droid x is what is needed compare to evo due to games that is coming out soon. Like the fact that i can everything on it i can do remote access, also admin my gaming server, moving maps from one server to other server across the world all on a phone a good cpu on a phone makes it easier. HDMI is pretty cool, the processor is very good processing many programs running at the back, like the feel on the back of the phone, not slipery like other phone. My phone is very loud also with 2.2. Droid X is more for the computer geeks that does what I do. I'm a computer pro and this is what i need not other.

I want to say the droid x. I live my phone, but I'm going to give it to the original droid only because of custom roms. For every other aspect, I say the droid x.

I think that, if we are referring to stock devices, it would have to be the DX. Reasoning: Large screen, HDMI-out, 1GHz CPU, 512 RAM, #1 Battery Life rating.

If we are going to include mods/custom roms, custom kernels, and themes... D1 hands down.

The original MotoDroid, IMHO. Why the (now) humble Droid? Because of it's overclockability and easy customization from the kernel level on up. There's something to be said about a almost year-old device that can STILL hang with the latest and greatest thanks to aformentioned OCability and the awesome dev community that brings us awesome custom ROMs.

And a device capable of >100% overclocks is just leet.

Yea just give some time you'll be able to install roms and theres already themes and other bull **** with droid x. I admire Droid 1 of things you can do.

I have the og droid, droid x and fascinate. I love x. Its screen is freaking awesome. We just need to crack that bootloader crap lol
