What phone are you upgrading from?

I hope Motorola is reading this thread. Lots of unhappy Bionic owners here. As a totally frustrated Bionic owner I am beyond ready to bail. S4, Note2, but really wish to have the Note3. Probably can't/won't wait that long... :hail:

Loved my Bionic <333

The best outdoors screen I've used to date. Webtop is also very missed. And of course most of my micro USB cables worked with it. Oh and the extended battery was great, added hardly any width but tons of life.

Retiring my beat up faithful Thunderbolt. I'll miss my 3200 battery but it's not lasting like it used to. A little worried about switching from sense to Touch Wiz, but the S4 looks amazing.

Yes, lots of Bionic owners. However, I think it's more due to timing than being "unhappy". Release day for the Bionic was Sept 8, 2011, which means upgrade available May 8, 2013. Just in time for the S4.

I see some note 2 users going to the s4 is the s4 really an upgrade from a note 2?

Absolutely! The note 2's chipset is complete trash, so is the display. The Note was conceptually a great phone, but Samsung failed big time on the components.

Yes, and the release date of the bionic was when most people were due for an upgrade from the original moto driod.

Well all be damned why is the chip set bad and the display (I haven't had a problem just wondering) just after having a 5.5 inch screen all other screens are so tiny lol.

Count me as one of the people burned by Moto on the Droid. Mine had the issue where it would drop signal entirely whenever it went from 4g to 3g. After 3 replacement devices VZW agreed to replace it...but only with a refurb Rezound. I can't imagine ever buying another Moto device. (Of course, I also had the Storm and that was the end of my relationship with Blackberry.)

going from an s3 to an s4 and paying full price / well.... technically sold the (32gb) s3 for 350, therefore about 300 out of pocket... (plus extras (battery, case, etc.) meh...) but still happy

Yep, I feel your pain. But I stuck it out and software updates proved that it was indeed a software and an LTE system problem - not a Bionic hardware problem. My original, release day Bionic now works flawlessly.

My son's Bionic and my wife's Razr Maxx had the same problem. They would lose data connection for anywhere from 1 to 15 minutes every time it would switch from 3G to 4G. Wife is still using the Razr Maxx and the son is using a S3 now.

I honestly miss my Bionic. I unfortunately also had random data drops, and I knew it was a LTE problem all along, but for my job I just couldn't keep waiting for an update to fix it. The screen is one of the things I miss the most. It was great outdoors, I didn't even have to worry about any kind of brightness app like I do my S3. And it looked beautiful, haters just wanted to hate. Great extended battery, added almost no bulk, about a credit cards width, but hours of life. Fortunately, however, the Rezound was also a great phone and I ended up loving it as well....

but nothing tops my S3 DancingNexus
