Does Blue Tooth voice dialing work now with 2.1?
If not, have you noticed anything improved with BT and 2.1?

Out if the other improvements I have read about, that is he one thing I was truly hoping would be addressed...simply asinine that a feature such as that which is standard on damn near any basic mobile phone would not be available on such an advanced device...

Any word on that?

It is not on ANY Android-powered device. BTW, The Droid has a better built-in solution called Voice Search.

Not much of a solution for truly hands free dialing. Many states and municipalities forbid touching or looking at your phone while driving. BT dialing lets you hit one button on your headset/dash/steering wheel and tell it who you want to call.

The voice search requires you to wake your phone up, unlock it, hit search, hit the microphone button. Far from hands free and plenty enough to get you a ticket if a cop sees you doing it in areas where hands free is mandatory.

Makes no sense that Google hasn't provided this yet.

i did the manual update,, landscape on the homepage does not work unless the keys are out.. and that back button thing does not work either.. if im on the browser and hit home button, then back button, nothing happens.

Same here... I was particularly interested in the hitting back after hitting home feature. Is anyone else actually able to hit back after hitting home and have it take them back to the last app?

By the way, to the poster above -- if you have your Droid in a car dock and with the screen always on, you can map voice search (or Choice Dialer, for more options) to the camera button using the Button Shortcut app. Then, just like with bluetooth, it's just one button press to voice activation.

Then your Droid is operating correctly. Landscape mode will only be activated when the physical keyboard is opened.

However; if you install HelixLauncher as your home screen replacement, you will be able to activate landscape mode simply by tilting your Droid to the side (as well as set up to 7 home screens total).

I agree, I'm no software developer but this has to be an easy feature to implement if almost every other phone (including my old paperweight RAZR) has it. It's simply convienent if say I have my phone in my pocket or it's at my desk and I'm not there, to simply press the ear piece and say, "Call Nicki." But yes, I also agree the Voice Search is an awesome feature too.

Neither of those 2 things have ever worked on any official version and neither were promised for the 2.1 update.

I have the same thing. No home screen flip. WTF

Running stock Android one cannot get the screen orientation without deploying the keyboard.

I found I can do it with the BeyondPod app, Pandora, and Slacker. Haven't tried it with a browser, but I could see why it wouldn't work (since browser uses remapped hard BACK button.)

I cant open helix launcher using 2.1. My phone worked great until this update trashed my root.

I just posted this under the "2.1 Rollout" thread..but figured I would contribute my two cents here as well.

Regarding the Stock Email App...since the 2.1 upgrade, when I go into the Email App, and my 2 accounts are listed, I am not getting the counter indicating how many emails I have in each account. If the counter is there, 99% of the time it is NOT accurate.

I need to manually go into each email account, and make sure that everything was read.

I have also noticed A LOT more ghost messages.

Other than just yahoo mail specifically (which is still buggy, apparently, with some still reporting multiple sent messages and no notifications), are people finding any new improvements/problems with stock email app now?

By ghost messages, do you mean emails that you can't delete? Are you also getting extra sent messages in that folder?
