What's your battery life like with the new JB?

I'm on WiFi when I'm at home. When at work, it uses 4G/3G for about 8 hours. I can be fully charged and the phone will be dead by the end of my work day. I realize 4G/3G uses battery but this is ridiculous. I've uninstalled ALL apps previously downloaded and ran on stock JB 4.1.2 for a couple of days and there wasn't much change. Obviously, heavier use yielded higher battery consumption but even with light to very light use I should be getting wayyyy more life out of this thing.

Have you done a FDR? It made a difference on mine.

If I am not mistaken, its dropbox, motocast, or VZ back up. One of those if you have it activated. I'd turn it off and update/sync manually if you are using one if them.

Thanks GotnFX, I will look for motocast, or VZ backup as the culprits. Neither one WAS being used prior to updating, but may have set up on their own. No drop box here.
I did notice today though, that Mediaserver time appears to be while I was using IHeart Radio.

I've had good results using Smart Actions, and improved battery life vs. ICS.

Ahh, I didn't realize you used iheart...that could be it. I was under the impression you didn't have anything that you know of running.

What else do you have running? I am surprise you don't have more breaks in the blue line below the graph...

Here is mine. Since Jelly bean screwed up Smart Actions completely, I decided to finally learn Tasker (which is currently setup exactly like I had my Smart Actions). I've seen a huge improvement in my battery life over ICS:

EDIT: Meant to add, this is an OG DROID RAZR.

Have you done a battery calibration by performing two full charges while the phone is off. Let the phone run down till battery warning light comes on, shut phone completely off and charge it..usually best to do this process overnight..then repeat again. Give it a couple of days as it may not seemed to have worked. Then charge as normal..no need to turn off. I've also found giving the phone a small little charge during the day has helped...but again do that after battery calibration.

Yes I have done this. I did it every month or so while on ICS too.

I have mobile data running.

But it looks like your phone is always awake..I dont turn off gps..or mobile data and when I don't use my phone, there are breaks in the blue line under the graph....you have a very solid blue line throughout day in the pic. Just out of curiosity open battery and click on the battery graph and do a screen shot..I'd be interested to see those stats.

Here's a screenshot. Just charged this afternoon

Ahh its WiFi. When you said mobile data I was thinking 4G/3G.. Man you could get a lot more battery life out of that bad boy if you set smart action up to turn wifi off and on when needed...do you have a maxx or reg RAZR ?

That's a great point. I have a regular RAZR. I have Smart actions set to turn off Wi-Fi while I'm at work but on when I'm at home. I'm thinking about modifying this based on your advice.
