What's your battery life like with the new JB?

Reading through this entire thread, it sounds like most of us are having issues with the battery life in some way or another. Mine is god awful. I unplug my phone right before I'm heading out the door for work which is at six and then by 8-9 in the morning, it's dead. When it's in my pocket, the whole thing feels like it's on fire. I seriously can't figure out why this is happening. I've removed apps that I hardly use, I've minimized my usage...I can't figure out what's draining it!

My phone is getting hot too. I have also turned everything off but it isn't helping. What's really bad is I had a fine battery life before upgrade 32 hours some days and now half a day tops. The only thing that has changed is that stupid upgrade. I wish I had never done it. It has ruined my phone and I used to love it.

Its unfortunate for everyone who has suffered negative results as far as battery charge being short. I have always had terrible battery results running the
.215 ICS version. I just received JB two days ago and so far my battery has 30%+ increase in life. I usually charge by 1:00pm (starting 6:30am). I have not charged in 2 days and have 33% the 1st day and 41% the second day. I have kept my usage the exact same if not more. So far I am happy and impressed. I hope it stays the same. I know exactly what a battery short life was like. It's the same update???

Yesterday I was @ 50% after 14 hrs 40 mins. Consisting of a lot if texts, email, surfing the net, fb, twitter, etc and a few calls...
Funny thing is I drop to 90% battery very fast then to 80 but then the rest of the day the drop slows down. I cant complain.

I know it sucks, but I'd try doing two FDRs, clearing cache and doing a battery calibration. FDR usually helps a lot, although everyone hates to do it because you have to set everything up again. Back up everything either such as pic, vids, and music on your computer or some alternate method of your choice. Believe me it should help. The first couple of days its going to seem like it didn't help but it will eventually get back to better battery life.

+1 to GotnFX... 2 back to back FDRs, cache clear, tweaking a single app setting that was out of control, and i am finally getting back to where I was.

Hi everyone first post on here hope this helps I found under accounts-> google that there is a sync icon if it's green tap on it and on the next screen you will see a list of things that are being synced here such as contacts, bookmarks, email and a couple of other things uncheck them and it should help because it syncs these things all day long .

This has me a little worried. Not only that Android OS it's using that much battery, but look how much data is being sent. How is that even possible, what could be being sent from my phone?

Could be google location service. I get asked a lot when surfing if I want to turn on my location.

I don't know what I am doing right but I am getting great battery life. I have my phone set to check for email every 15 minutes and my GPS is turned on.

Battery

Recalibrating my battery has really seemed to help. Not getting missed call alert now though. hate upgrades that aren't upgrades but are just a pain.

I'm also on the poor battery wagon... along with the rest of my family with OG Razrs who are complaining about poor batter after upgrading.

I'm a light user, but I used to be able to go 24 hours without charging on ICS. Now, my phone shuts off after about 8 hours!

I'll give the 2 FDRs a try and clear cache, but I'm looking forward to see if anyone can pinpoint the problem.

**UPDATE**

I received my "replacement" phone on March 21. I went through the FDR process, updated the OS, then the FDR process (x2) AGAIN. This phone is just as bad as the one I sent back. With that said, I just finished LIVE chatting with Verizon again and they are sending me the RAZR MAXX at no cost because of the problems I'm having and because I've been with Verizon since before they were Verizon. I can't hardly wait for my upgrade availability date to come around so I can trash Motorola and move on to something better. Sorry but Motorola has failed us on their phones recently... IMO. I will keep everyone posted here as to how great my battery life is on the MAXX :partsin01:
