When is official ics going to hit my phone?

I have been thinking about trying it! Im loving ics though. I'm too familiar with jb but what its so good about it? Is it faster?

It feels faster, very smooth. If I'm not on wifi, 4g is solid for me. The only issue I've got is stock messaging can't do MMS. I installed Handcent and it works, usually have to give it a second try before it'll go through. I've got no regrets at all with it. The developer is constantly putting up new versions once a week or so.

The phone optimizes its proccesor(s) and it feels more smooth and it rarely lags lol. Makes everything about the phone less lagy and makes it more snappy

Have any non soak test people gotten the OTA update yet?

I did yesterday morning, but I've been told I just was lucky. I did a check for updates and it was there.

Project Butter is an attempt to make the home screen transitions "smooth as butter" when you swipe through them. Among other things, it enables triple buffering and vsynch, which are terms PC gamers who tweak their video cards will be familiar with.

So I received the soak test invite email a week ago and signed up successfully. It's now over a week later and I've still haven't received a confirmation email saying the soak test would be sent to me. I've been checking for the update manually every hour and still nothing. It's driving me crazy!!

Why don't you just get it now and use the hob? Just make sure you read all about it first before trying it. its easy though.

Trust me, I've been thinking about it but I'm so afraid of bricking my phone. It looks complicated and im worried I'll screw something up...

Well then just wait. I know everyone is excited but there really isn't a rush for this update. I for one don't look forward to losing flash. I like having flash on my Bionic but maybe some of the new features will outweigh this loss.

I didn't know I would lose flash, that sucks. Why would they take that away in a software update? Aren't updates meant to improve your device, not move backwards? Does this mean some websites I use will no longer work?
