and if you notice, the link you provided, while possibly implicating Apple, says nothing about the name 'Thunderbolt' being the issue, instead it mentions what we've all been speculating.... that Apple doesn't want anything cutting into iPhone sales on VZW.

I'm all for discussion and disagreement, but I think we can all spot a troll when they're here.

i dont remember seeing it mentioned on either thread

yea i just realized that too.. no where on that site does it talk about skype... looks like they removed it

I stopped by my Verizon store this afternoon and asked when the TB would be released, or if they even knew, and was told by two people behind the counter that they had just been informed that it would be released on the 28th of this month. They said they were told that this was a firm date. Since it came from two people who were supposedly listening to the call, I tend to give it some weight. In any event, there's nothing I can do about it except wait like everyone else.

Yep and I'm pretty sure that's the main thing here, its literally the only thing that I could post that I think is official: "apple is to blame at least a little for the TBs delay" as for skype being the problem and stocking and etc, I don't think we've seen a lot of true info on if its a bug or not, but I think that skype won't be on the phone on launch day but will of course and will instead have a placeholder app, I think I remember reading a link a week ago regarding htc saying that there will be a downloadable version on the market and it implicated that users would already have the phone by then, if anyone has the link, post it

I can't recall if it was on the HTC websites page, but thats removed, just like the best buy walking out working logo was removed earlier this month.

Okay, now you have ZERO cred (as if you had any before)... I'm typing this on a MacBook pro. My Address Book and iCal sync perfectly with my Google account. Any idiot that can type "Google.com" in their address bar can do it in 5 minutes. So that's one less than factual statement.

About the update on the 4G LTE Network site: That's a pretty good find. I haven't heard anything of that and I never noticed it on the site.

Last small news bit from me: Motorola XOOM Verizon wirless page gets edited. Now available for $599 on contract while Thunderbolt edits are nowhere to be found. Think this kind of confirms a no-go on the 24th. Unless it's a REALLY silent launch.

First, please don't feel that you shouldn't post 'news'. If you find something, feel free to share.

Second, I didn't look myself, but did you post in the Member News Depot section when posting 'news'? - sincere question, I don't want you to feel slighted in any way.

You members are what make this place great. I hate to see anyone feel as if they can't contribute.
