When Will the ThunderBolt Be Available for Purchase

I read that earlier today and didn't think anything bout it lol

sent from stock dx

And like most things concerning Apple... and any company they are in agreements with, one thing has always been firm, Names! Names of products are VERY tight secrets. More so than anything else, so it would lead one to think, that this has come out during the iPhone release with VZW. Hence the push back of the release. However, they can't stop the ad machine for a highly anticipated peace of hardware, so thats why you are probably seeing some ads with the HTC as Thunderbolt, still.

no...
1. this has already been disproved
2. if apple/intel/whatever filed the copyright before HTC, then HTC wouldn't have been able to file it after them and have it. and they DO have it.
3. ...HTC has it
4. it's the HTC Thunderbolt
5. no.

Wow dude, you dont quit do you? Go take your iphone, leave your moms basement and go get a coffee or something. Regardless if Intel had wanted to use that name, HTC or Verizon either one would have checked the names against the registry to make sure they were open.

IF APPLE OR INTEL HAD ALREADY CLAIMED THAT NAME, EVEN SECRETLY, IT WOULD HAVE SHOWN UP AS TRADEMARKED, and at that point they would have moved onto something else like Thor's Hammer or something cooler than apple thunderbolt. :icon_evil:

You dont get to be a big company like HTC or Verizon by making huge marketing mistakes like using a name someone had already trademarked in a multi-million dollar campaign; unless you were paying for it ie... 'Droid'

daniel, you're making claims with no proof.

Thank you. I don't know that he'll recover from my USTPO body blow ;)

Yea your actual proof pretty much put the brakes on his theory. Pretty sure he wasn't wearing a seat belt either :icon_eek:

Please excuse me. while I wipe a tear from my eye....

Hide and watch.... :)

Is all I'm say'en!

Oh... and yeah.. I can get my iCal and Address book to sync to elgooG.com (did I type that right), the issue is.. WHY WOULD I want to?

I am a Mac guy anyway!! HTC Incredible was a nice little phone, and I do miss it a little, but I've got an iPhone, and will never go back. As a Mac user, Droids are not a viable option.... They are just to cluttery and don't sync. And I have to use google to keep up with my contacts... and calendars.. NO........ Thank you!!!

Go get your troll food...!! Sorry... it doesn't matter where YOU posted something this morning... Dude...! Intel has the trademark!! WHY... would a computer company name a peripheral connection, that is patented by someone else!?!?!! IT JUST DOSEN'T WORK THAT WAY!! There will be no HTC Thunderbolt....!!! Sorry to break it to ya.

Okay, now you have ZERO cred (as if you had any before)... I'm typing this on a MacBook pro. My Address Book and iCal sync perfectly with my Google account. Any idiot that can type "Google.com" in their address bar can do it in 5 minutes. So that's one less than factual statement.

Yep... 0 for 2. The "Thunderbolt" trademark belongs to Verizon Wireless. has since December 2010. I'm pretty sure when it comes to reliable information, the United States Patent and Tradmark Office trumps MacRumors. kthxbai

I swear to God if someone posts the same thing I do 2 pages after every time I post something whether it be news threads or news in a thread, I will never post any news I gather here ever again. It gets quite annoying.

On topic.. Hoping for March 3rd so I can get rid of the LG Chocolate WANT-TO-BE Touch

You didn't say you COULD and didn't want to... you said it couldn't. Don't change your argument because you've been proven wrong. If your looking to get me riled, I'm sorry I can't accomodate you. I'm also sorry that you picked a guy that's willing to cite sources and facts. There's one other thing I'm sorry about, but you haven't gone quite that far yet. I guess I'll just hide and watch dancedroid

daniel, enjoy your time off.

Trolling is not welcomed.

@xkxdisturbed - thank you for constructively posting that information. No sarcasm from me. I don't understand why daniel couldn't grasp that idea.

Are you the one that originally posted the Trademark info? If so, my bad... I saw it somewhere, but I couldn't remember where, so I looked it up. ALL CREDIT FOR THE TRADEMARK LINK GOES TO Its TwiX...

(And no, that's no sarcasm... that's a sincere attempt to make up for ganking your post) :)
