I say there's a good chance for a 28th launch
Evidence:
-Mass televised marketing w/ in last week
-Mass web marketing w/ last 2 weeks
-HTC's "were shipping it this week" tweet (about a week ago)
-Many reps have been saying that it definitely will launch in February
-"Febrero" VZW commercial (yes I know it was pulled)
-Best Buy Pre-orders
-Wirefly unboxing videos (w/ "production packaging")
-The Verizon order slip (the one with the Quantity of 10)

-The complete RUU leaks
-Dummy phones arriving in VZW corporate stores
- and last but not least the Thunderbolt Training almost a month ago

They already had the "dummy" TB out in my store. I got to mess around with it a little bit. Not near as chunky as I thought it would be. The kickstand is nice too. That was about all you could get from the non working model. Oh yeah, the power button is on top - pleasant change from the Samsung Fascinate that I have now. It's on the side and is always getting hit when adjusting volume.

BTW forgot to add my opinion, Silent launch is actually looking pretty good from my views, I mean, VZW posted the TB everywhere which generated a lot of calls to VZW stores everywhere and I think its safe to assume that the stigma of this phone alone being "Verizon's first 4G LTE Smarthpone" and being made by the "Best Phone Manufacturer of the Year" (HTC) would captured a lot of peoples attention

BTW forgot to add my opinion, Silent launch is actually looking pretty good from my views, I mean, VZW posted the TB everywhere which generated a lot of calls to VZW stores everywhere and I think its safe to assume that the stigma of this phone alone being "Verizon's first 4G LTE Smarthpone" and being made by the "Best Phone Manufacturer of the Year" (HTC) would captured a lot of peoples attention

you make a great point! Someone in the last thread said that when they called verizon, the lady said she has had way more calls about this then the iPhone!
What makes you think the 28th and not the 24th if it will be a silent launch?

About the update on the 4G LTE Network site: That's a pretty good find. I haven't heard anything of that and I never noticed it on the site.

Last small news bit from me: Motorola XOOM Verizon wirless page gets edited. Now available for $599 on contract while Thunderbolt edits are nowhere to be found. Think this kind of confirms a no-go on the 24th. Unless it's a REALLY silent launch.

Second, I didn't look myself, but did you post in the Member News Depot section when posting 'news'? - sincere question, I don't want you to feel slighted in any way.

You members are what make this place great. I hate to see anyone feel as if they can't contribute.

-1..... he was pm-ing me a lot too....he told me the news 2 days ago that he would only be reachable on his twitter, made me sad, he was pretty adamant though that the launch would be on the 24th and that he would be going for the phone himself too,
I respect Miami very much, we will all miss him on this thread, let it be known though that he brought us the first pictures of this amazing handset and inspired us to want the "Msyterious-Evoish Device heading to Verizon"

Well mostly I think the 28th because it seems like it will be more out of the iphones return policy than anything else which is what I think vzw is really focused on as of this moment, however I'm not saying the 24th is out but we will know hopefully soon it is a Thursday after all!
