When Will the ThunderBolt Be Available for Purchase

Here's my VZW story from earlier today:

My wife and I went to a VZW corporate store to get her OG Droid looked at. One of the salesman that goes to our church saw me checking out the Xoom and asked me if I was ready to get an Iphone. I say said "Noooooooo, I'm waiting on the Thunderbolt". He told me that they will have it Monday. Then he said that he will save me one and scheduled me an appointment for Monday afternoon. I hope he's right.

According to my visit at the local Verizon, the "greeter" girl said March 28th. At this point I could hardly contain my laughter. She said, "First it was the 14th then it was the 24th now it's March 28th" I wanted to be like "Don't you mean... February 28th?" She said I could talk to a sales rep if I wanted to after others on the list got talked to. I didn't feel that waiting for 4 people to be helped before me was worth it.

This is not news so don't take it as such. Just a little laugh.

So besides finding out the XOOM is pretty heavy... I got nothing.

NEVER trust a greeter. The other day I was at Wal-Mart, I asked the greeter what isle dog food was on they said 14. It was on isle 15.:rofl3:

To be honest I think the girl on my trip to Verizon had the right date... just wrong month. Hope Monday is right.

It's possible they could do a silent launch...

If there LTE network is really having the problems rumors say, they could be trying to keep it on the down-low so the network doesn't get flooded.

Doubt that's why... but could be I think we will hear something tomorrow or next week about an official release date.

I was told the 28th on Tuesday. I really don't see Verizon doing a silent release for the first 4g phone.

I went out of town for a few days and came back very disappointed to find out that the 24th was not the day and the big release date thread got closed. So to play catch-up, the ThunderBolt could be released anytime between Monday February 28th and Friday March 4th? I can wait until then, I've already been waiting months what's another week? I figured they did not want to launch 2 devices on the same day, the stores probably would not be able to handle all the Xoom and TB people at the same time. If it is going to be Monday, the stores should get their shipments in by tomorrow or Saturday (if some don't have them already), so hopefully we will find out something more concrete in the next couple of days.

When I went into my Verizon by the mall (usually really busy?) there was only 1 person talking with a friend about the XOOM from afar. A couple was looking at the iPad. I was quite confused. I think Apple brainwashes people.

Well, BB never called me to say make up for the "Come get your phone the 24th" calling.
So I went up there.

Girl told me it was delayed again, they were told the 28th, but it could go into March 4th-6th.
She said right now, nobody really knows when its coming out.

New Commercial I hadn't seen yet! So that would make
a total of three airing now!! Not counting the Multi phone
