This concerns me, from Engadget:

And if Best Buy has a launch exclusive on this thing, that means it could be another week or two beyond that before the phone shows up in Verizon retail locations and elsewhere. Bummer, eh?

I just cant see VZW launching their First LTE phone and then telling people to go to best buy to get it. Does that even make sense?

In the event they gave Best Buy release dates, then changed them, they owe Best Buy a limited exclusive.

I realize reps aren't in the know, but a rep I'm friends with was told Best Buy would have a limited exclusive due to the delays that have taken place.

Verizon is caught in the middle of htc and apple fight. I think apple does not like competition. Htc is making some pretty hot stuff. Ill be surprised if we see this phone anytime soon

sent from stock dx

Since the Thunderbolt Trademark is owned by Verizon, they will have no problem releasing the phone. Apple's Thunderbolt port could be a different story. Apple is kind of dumb to do this after trying to screw over HTC last year. Or perhaps they are just getting payback ;D

okay, the whole Apple going after HTC thing again just made me a little mad.

Apple knows its not going anywhere pulling this crap, they are just trying to keep that iPhone in the spotlight as much as they can.

Just to clear this up, Verizon has applied for the trademark, but it had not yet been assigned to them.
