When Will the ThunderBolt Be Available for Purchase

Coming from someone who CAN'T WAIT to upgrade to the Thunderbolt...I'll wait however long it takes for this because I want a product that works. Verizon is obviously working out some kinks. We'll all get our TBs soon...

Actually Verizon's only part in it will be adding bloatware. And indeed that could be a delay. But more likely it's Motorola.

Anyway, I've never known anyone who holds up something for a couple of kinks. They usually release it and send a fix later.

The skies have darkened even further(no pun intended):

HTC Thunderbolt Possibly Launching in April

The way I'm seeing it is, I've had my D1 since the Xmas it was released. I've already had this phone longer than almost any other phone I've ever had. This thing still does the latest and greatest (just about lol) for what I need. Every time I read about something new I get all wrapped up in it and just have to have it... then I read about delays and get upset and blah blah blah. Well I just had a moment of clarity I think, if I bought a perfected Thunderbolt tomorrow it wouldn't really do much better for me anyway. I might shave a second or two off of an app opening... maybe it'll scroll homepages smoother, but as it is Launcherpro is pretty slick anyway... I don't even have 4G in this area anyway.

I think I'm gonna hold out now.

Maybe I'll continue waiting for the Bionic, or hell, maybe I'll wait to see what's after that. I've been due for an upgrade since October 2010, and this will be the last one Verizon 'gives' me from what I understand so why not hold out? I might be able to hold out for something dual core... possibly even long enough for something quad core. I just quit smoking after 15 years of doing it, anythings possible lol

Delays? I don't care anymore. I remember waiting so anxiously when the rumor of Flash coming to Android was the big deal. Now I get popups lol... screw it, I'm learning patience.

Sent from my Droid so when my boss reads this he knows I'm at least not posting from my work computer.

I disagree with this statement what has Motorola has to do with HTC.. Now if you said Apple then I can agree because they are trying to sell verizon iPhone4... Like I said earlier there was no official release date for the thunderbolt.. It was has a speculated release of March 2011!!!

Am I the only one who notices that this says Motorola? Shouldnt it say Htc or did I just miss something? Anyway, I think if it was just a few kinks they would release it and then send out an update.

Lol, no, two others commented before you on that.

Nope, I noticed it now too. HTC, of course.

I think that they would be the ones putting it together. Just so use to Motorola I slipped.

At this point why not just wait for the Bionic? Q2 is right around the corner especially if the thunderbolt is released the 10th.

Because to someone who cares about bootloader encryption, the Bionic is a far inferior product.

I would NEVER choose an extra core over an unlocked bootloader.

There is that, and if the rumors of the TB battery going down the drain because of 4G, imagine 4G dual core, lol

Plus, the front facing camera on the TB is suppose to be a lot better.
(Correct me if I am wrong)

Edit: Yeah.

.... there's some of us who aren't in 4G areas so I really could care less if the LTE network zaps the battery... it's not a concern of mine! lol

... but seriously they should probably address that :)

I'm getting the TB come hell or high water as I have already ordered the TB Innocase from Seidio! So I hope they release it soon!

doing a chat with someone from verizon on their website right now and i'm not getting anything useful out of the conversation... boring so far... i'm going to keep working on this post until the conversation is over:

at the beginning of the conversation i asked if the phone would be out by mid march and i got "we can't release that information to consumers because the date could change".

then in the middle when i asked if the phone would be out by the end of march or april i got a "the phone should be out soon since it's being advertised".

a few minutes later i got a "if i were you i would wait because the phone should be released soon" (when i asked if i should upgrade to the incredible now or wait for the thunderbolt)

after that i asked if the phone will be out before april since i was holding my current phone together with tape and i got a "the phone should be out before the end of april" i asked if that was guaranteed. i got a "this is not guaranteed because a release date has not been released".

asked when a release date for the phone will happen... got a "there is no specific date where the company will say when the phone will be available".

giving up... posting now. i tried... and failed

Just checked a few local stores and vzw and bbs. ALL had nothing on the tb recently. ALL got posters and dummies today and all minus vzw say march 4th.

I was told 250, it was in the ad for 250, I better be getting it as 250.
The first ad didn't say if it was already out, or coming, this one doesn't either.
For those saying there was no release date set, BB set the date themselves.
Haven't they learned their lesson yet?

This is really getting annoying.

They wouldn't say anything if they didn't get some word from verizon. Verizon is pulling the strings and making best buy and us their puppets.
