When Will the ThunderBolt Be Available for Purchase

I wonder if the problems there's TBolt is having are the same problems that the droid bionic was having??????????

I think the problem they are having is getting a single core/LTE device to run efficiently over a real 4G network.

I'm no expert but I think that's the real issue here. I said a while back with the current hardware in the TB it would be sucking down battery like nobody's business on the LTE network.

Phone should have been released last year as a 3G device like it was probably originally planned and now they want to capitalize on 4G with the wrong hardware.

If I was in the market for this device I would have bailed as soon as I heard they were going to make it 4G capable.

lol i just need a new phone and i wont buy a MOTO device or apple... maybe if the screen was bigger!! i just cant wait no more i had this upgrade sense aug and my phone keeps freezing and reboots. and my area is covered and then some by lte already!!

I plan on waiting for the Inc2 now. LTE likely won't be in my area for a little while and I personally think a 4" screen is an optimal size.

I agree about the 4" screen size. I think its about ideal as far a slightly smaller phone than the giants out there but more usable screen than like the iphone. The only way I'd wait is if they were both launching within about a month of each other, and then I could compare both. 4G is in my area now so that's very enticing, but the rumors about shi*** battery life are a little scary.

While I'm a pretty big enthusiast, I'm more about the "simple" things you can do... Camscanner, Dropbox, Xfinity (when I forget to record a Flyers game) etc. Yeah, I play some Angry Birds or Papi Jump, but I'm mostly about staying in touch and having the things I need at my fingertips. I really don't need the dual core to scan and send out a letter or see which of my buddies is on Xbox Live. I'm more concerned with the screen real estate, and I am a BIG fan of Sense.

Additionally, I don't see 4G as an all-day thing. If I want to download a movie or a large file, I'll turn it on. None of the people in my house leave their EVO Wimax on even when thier in a 4G area.

A deciding factor for me is jumping on a decent 4G device and locking in my unlimited data. I'm scared to wait for the next round of handsets and having Verizon sneak the data plans on us. Has there been any new info on plan change timeframes?

I just bought a droid x off ebay that I should have tuesday or wednesday. That will tide me over until may or later when my ne2 is available.

Yeah... that's something to think about. My guess would be that Verizon monitors the usage to see if the network can handle it. I would think they would want to keep it unlim. so that could be a differentiator for them when comparing to other carriers. They have been saying that people don't use tons of bandwidth, but I think that is more a nature of the phones they currently have as opposed to regular behavior - my guess is that bandwidth usage increases dramatically as people start getting smartphones more and more.

My wife just told me "I haven't see you this anxious since the first droid came out". Then she says "if you need something new just go buy the XOOM". Words like that make me remember why I married her!!!

Sorry thunderbolt

4G capable, dual core, HTC... when is that coming? That's what I WANT but I don't have the patience to wait for it. Been sitting on my upgrade since Decemeber with this joke of a touch screen called a "LG Chocolate Touch"

I just want a phone that works and runs quickly. I don't need the newest, fanciest thing. I just want my phone to run well, not have lag and the battery to last a decent amount of time. It's like a car really, I don't need a 2011 or 2012 but I need it to be fast, look good and be semi-reasonable on gas. Thus the reason I own an 07 Z06.

Don't tell me I didnt warn you to wait kparks lol

There will be other LTE devices with more current hardware.

what one u talkin bout that arnt moto that lg one or sumn if i keep waitn ill never get 1 LOL

Yeah really, what phones are you talking about? Samsung Stealth? LG Revolution? Moto Bionic? Tired of waiting, and the only LTE phone on the horizon that has a chance to beat this phone is the Bionic, which won't be out until summer. I'll pass on the Sammy (ugly, no updates, don't like Touchwiz) and LG (newcomer to smartphones, unproven, don't like the UI). Plus, those 2 won't even have more current hardware from what I've read so far, even though better battery life is probably to be expected from them.
