As far as clearing individual notifications, I've been able to do it on all the 2nd init ROM's...all you have to do is swipe them away. It doesn't have that little red circle like GB but you can do it non the less.
OMG! All this time I never knew that! Sweeeeet!!! Thanks!

No problem now all that your missing is the battery life, which isn't really that big a deal when your giving up so much for it.
Best battery life by far us Apex RC2, 12 hours of use and its only down 70 percent. I put shuji rom on and I left the phone in my car fully charged and when I came out of work 8 hours later phone was dead. I do that on apex and it is only down 10%.
Love apex and the Battery life. I really like cm7 but I love getting 24 hours on a charge.
Peace
I hear ya. I thought about trying it, but I think I've come to the conclusion that I like the features of the 2nd init ROMS (reboot/recovery/screenshot options in the power-off menu, toggles in the notification bar, the theme switcher, speed, a bunch of other stuff) too much to go back to GB-based ROMs, although there are some things I prefer with those (battery life, the ability to clear individual notification items, not sure if there's anything else?). Still looking for the ROM that has everything.

You describe my sentiments exactly! ! When you hear about that perfect rom, let me know.
Swyped from my DROIDX from Tapatalk.
Anyone know of a good ROM that is based on .602.....I was trying out Shuji ROM and thought it was pretty good, but within 2 hours it rebooted and tells me I have no service.....I was going to try the ApeX RC3 but wanted to see if there were any other good one's out there
Cyanogenmod is now on Gingerbread. It fixed the battery issues and a few others.
Get it here:

Its got the camera and all the other fixes built in. Just flash the ROM and Gapps.
random rom'd X
is the battery life actually better on the GB kernal?
