While we wait ....

Again, not true. They've always left direct signature packages for me. Maybe it's different where you live, but I've been doing it for years in Florida & Idaho.

He works for them. He's quoting the rule book. Haha!

Anyway, we'll (hopefully) find out soon enough. I've actually had decent luck with FedEx's timing. Bigger packages that go in the big truck, the guy usually comes in the evening, after I'm home from work, which rules. When I got at least one of my 2 smart watches, but maybe both, the gal in the minivan brought them while I was home at lunch. Not sure if she was just giving it a shot, or happened to see my car in the driveway.

I mean, if they try to deliver it today, I won't be upset if I have to sign the tag and wait until tomorrow to get it.

It depends on the type of signature required. If it's a direct signature, they need a signature in person from someone at the address. If it's indirect, you can sign the door tag and they'll leave it.

Even in a location where they have no "office" that it can be picked up? How the f do I get my things, then!? I work for a living. ;)

It is true, I work there and that's how it's suppose to be done. They're not following policy if they're leaving direct signature packages. Trust me.

No offense to you but....UPS/DHL/Fedex here doesn't care. They just throw the box on the front porch and walk away. Signature or not.

There has to be an office if it's getting brought to you, it just might not be close. It may not require a signature, that's usually dictated by the shipper.

Not all packages require a signature, if they don't then they can just leave it but should either knock or ring the door. Like I said signatures are dictated by the shipper not us. I would assume a $500+ item would require one, but I don't know for sure.

I'm not seeing any sort of signature requirement on my tracking info. I did for my Roku 4 last week. I have a FedEx account that lets you e-sign, if necessary.
You ordered from Google, though, right? I ordered from Huawei. It's up to them. We'll find out.

Are you sure they're not indirect signature? Either way, if it's working for you and you haven't had issues then keep on keeping on. I know what they SHOULD be doing isn't always what they ARE doing unfortunately.

I'm hating FedEx right now... sorry Pops, automated tracking updates are letting me down. Put it the dang truck already!
