Who had a line outside their Verizon store?

I showed up at about 8 minutes before they opened, and there were about 6 older guys standing around outside of the place. They weren't in a line, but just randomly standing in front of the store. I waited in my car for a few minutes, but got out when I noticed a few more guys show up as well. I felt like a little kid as everyone there was at least 40. The guy who rung me up said they were probably going to sell out soon since more and more people were showing up wanting to get it, and apparently they didn't get that many in.

Love the phone btw!

not bad here outside cincy - I was 5th (also last) in line when the doors opened, but by the time I left, there was a couple dozen folks. Store associates said they had, "plenty" of units...

showed up 45 minutes before my store opened and i was #3. The first guy was there since 7am...

When I got out the store the line was up to 24 people I think. They only let 5 in at a time.

Here in Orlando there were probably 15-20 of us in line when the doors opened, with probably 50 people in the store by the time I left at 9:45. This is by the UCF campus also, a huge tech area, not downtown.

Got there right when it opened. No one was waiting inline. I was the first person in the store. Guess the phone is not that popular over here in the Monterey county. That's a good thing.

Got there after my exam at 10:15 (stores opened at 10:00). It was empty... One lady buying the GN already at the counter. I was in the middle of buying it and some other guy came in, and someone right after him.. Not bad at all.

I got to my store about 1.5 hours after it opened and I was the only one there getting mine. They said they had sold 3 prior to me.

I called Covington Wa, where my parents live because I was suppoed to get it as a X-mas present but I caved and bought it at Best Buy in Cascade station in Oregon in Portland. Cov said get here early because they were limited (didnt disclose the total stock). Best Buy in Portland I showed up at open and I was the only one buying. There was one more guy that came in while I was there.

I was nervous about sleeping in too lol. IM A NERD!!!:icon_ lala:

5 people when it opened with 4 being for the Nexus (I got there about 5 minutes prior). I was 4th and when I left they had about 10 people waiting.

so overall nowhere near the fanfare of a newly released iphone or ipad huh. those apple stores always have dozens in line when a new product is released.

there was 27 people waiting where i got mine....i was first :)

I used to hate Blur on all phones leading up to the Razr, Moto's really done an excellent job with it now. Can't even tell it's on the device whatsoever.

But seeing what phones you came from (minus the blurless D1), I can see where you might have been coming from.

That reminds me, I didn't go to bed till about 6:00 a.m. because I couldn't sleep, and I set my alarm to go off at 9:15 to be up and ready to get the phone. I wake up somewhat dazed and look at the time, and it "looked" like it said it was 12:00 p.m., and I kinda freaked out because I thought my alarm didn't go off, but I was so exhausted that I just kept sleeping and decided I'd go later. Then I woke up and it was only 8:30. No idea what happened lol.

Well to be fair, google didn't really make a huge announcement over the phone. I've seen their twitter announcement and they have it on their website, but I haven't received an email from Verizon saying it's available yet. Apple likes to announce their iPhones a decent amount of time before. I'm sure if Verizon had done the same, there would've been decent amounts of people at most places. Not apple type lines, but bigger than it was.

No line BUT they opened at 9 and I got there at 9:05 and there was about 12 or so people inside. From what I gathered half were there for other stuff. So the Williamsburg VA Verizon had no problems. Shout out to Sam's Club for hooking me up with a $50 work discount too! :)
