Who is holding out for the HTC Incredible?

And it truly is. I have an overclocked Droid and the Incredible smokes it. I cannot wait for it to be released.

How did you get hold of one? Heard anything new on it?

I know an engineer who tests all Verizon devices and he gives me a few minutes on all of them. Everything that is out in the latest round of leaks is accurate. Even though it is not using the full capability of the 1Ghz processor, it was still faster than my Droid clocked to 1Ghz. The screen is fantastic and the optical scroll pad is cool. My buddy was impressed with the battery life and the stability. When I asked him for a release date, all he would say is "soon". Definitely an iconic device.

Thanks so much, really appreciate the insight. Absolutely can't wait for this to hit. I'll be all over it day it comes out. Everything you've mentioned ties in with the preview info that's been leaked over time.

Think its going to be one helluva phone and ding the hell out of the Nexus One when/if it ever finally gets released for VW.

Im holding out for the incredible. IF the galaxy s pro where real/announced and coming to verizon, that would be my choice, but at this time there is no release date/ carrier and the pro may not even be real.

Im not aware of any phones out or coming out (except the rumored Samsung Galaxy S Pro) with a good qwerty keyboard. I had the droid, the keyboard, IMHO, was awful and useless, so I would opt for a better phone.

I dont ever use the keyboard so I might get the incredible, dont get me wrong I love my droid, hands dwn best phone i ever had but I think I might make the switch, wont switch droid for nexus 1 though only for the incredible

Yea thats why I said my opinion. I mean I had the enV, Voyager, Dare (couldnt stand no tangable keys), then back to enV2, then Rogue, and now the droid... I use the QWERTY so much I dont think I could do without it. I can type as fast as on a real computer, and I tried using just the touchscreen for a long time and I couldnt get the hang of it, always F-ed up words...

I am due for upgrade in November. I will likely get the incredible and use my droid as a back up phone.

It does. Supposedly toned down to about 786 I believe to help battery life. Supposedly the speed difference is imperceptible.

Swype set the world record for fastest text. I have been using it on my Droid since December and cannot imagine owning a phone without it.

For those of you who used your New Every 2 when the Droid came out...do you plan on paying full retail for the HTC Incredible? or are you going to get Verizon to swing your New Every 2 again for the Incredible?

i love my droid n plan on keeping it for a while; but i'm interested in this one also. i'm due for another upgrade in September so i'll wait n see how it does (review wise).

im getting it....giving my wife my droid so she can get rid of her blackberry curve.....ive got 4 phone lines just so i can get the yearly upgrade 4 times a year....yes i know i need help...LOL
