Who is holding out for the HTC Incredible?

I've been looking forward to this release for about a year now. Hopefully it will be everything its supposed to be and more. As long as VZW doesnt try to gimp the machine then ill sell my soul if I have to to get this device.

I played with the final software load today and it is not crippled at all. Eats my overclocked Droid for lunch. Official launch announcement is coming and it won't be long now!

three cheers! probably the only thing I think the phone would need is to overclocked. Im thinking if the Moto Droid can handle 1.8ghz then this thing will handle more. Id ask you where you got the software but I wont cause id probably just end up drooling all over it x)

The software was loaded on the Incredible I found.
Also, the Incredibl smokes the Droid in battery life as well.

does the incredible have access to the free maps and navigation like the moto droid does? thats a big selling point for me.

I'm waiting for the Incredible. As the release (should be) very soon, I'll wait to at least compare it to the Droid before I decide. I was up for New in 2 last month so, this has been a painful wait...

This is actually my first post here - I found this forum while looking for info on the Incredible, and the Droid. I currently have a LG Voyager (no data plan) so either phone will be my first Smartphone.

I've learned a ton here on this forum already - this really is a great place. I've got a list of app's I'm going to install as soon as I get my new phone.

I've been so damn tempted to go down and just get the Droid but, if I find out later that I really like the Incredible I'll be pissed. I know you can't play that game with Smartphones as there is always something newer and better coming out "soon" but, the Incredible could be released literally any day now.

dbigdawg, do you work for Verizon? In a Verizon store? If so and the phone is at the stores this is very promising news!!

I do not work in the stores and I do not believe inventory is in stores yet because there would be a lot more photos out there if it were.

Eh, if it really has the 8gb internal memory for initial storage, I'll be fine with that. Those cards aren't that expensive. And honestly, none of the phones I've had actually had cards that came with them. Did the Droid?

yea droid came with 16 GB as well as my storm that i had

That's cool, I never realized they released with those. Look at it this way, it'll give you an 8gb headstart and when its all said and done, you'll have 24gb once you add the card before the 32gb card prices drop. 24gb is still better than 16gb. ;-)

because it hasnt been officially released yet
