Yea, we've never figured out what it changes. But basically a factory reset AND reinstall is necessary to get rid of it. I refuse to even touch it.

I believe it's because it puts itself on there as a system app. Since a factory reset only wipes cache and data, it stays through a factory reset.

Hey guys. part time lurker, first time poster and I was looking around on the internet and heard about this thing called Ice Cream Sandwich. It's pretty swell looking. It's supposed to be coming out soon..does anybody know when? I really think it would be cool if it was on our phones. I also saw something called Jelly bean (who comes up with these names? Good luck. If it doesn't work, I wrote a very rough manual script this morning that would allow you to move to a new update. I'm not posting it publicly but if this doesn't work for you let me know and I'll work with you.

LOTS of people. That's why I split it up. Trust me, I had it as one big installer and people complained LOUDLY about it.

Kinda stupid cuz their downloading the same amount an takes the same amount of time to download it splitting it up doesnt make it quicker

Right, and that's where people were upset. So, I split it up. Besides, we're gonna have an FXZ update soon. So having it split out is better.

I just want everyone to get their ass on 246. Especially if they're 235+ already. And RSD just was NOT doing it for him for whatever reason. I may put out another RSD package for 5.7 again so people can switch between them. See if that makes any difference. But now i have the custom script. It's neat...it'll scan your update dirs, build the menu dynamically, and then it'll prep the phone to install that update. It's very quick. It doesn't do any of the pushing the update or rooting or anything else. It simply preps the phone and gives the instructions for installing the update. That's it.

So are you recommending the move now, even if you're 232 or earlier? I haven't read all 200+ pages here, but my understanding was that you were stuck once 235 or beyond...
