I don't know, that was never prescribe nor was it a tactic I applied. All I know is that T-Mobile said that it didn't have enough RAM and that was that.
Well, with the Storm; multiple battery pulls per day were a way of life. Otherwise, your free RAM would slowly dwindle down to nothing. And if your RAM got low, it would start doing random crap like deleting text messages. If you go over to Crackberry and browse the old 9530 Storm forums, you can read about some of the hell we went through.

Back on page 171 you recommended a factory data reset in place of the cache wipe. I did that, since I have never wiped data and wanted a clean install.

Thanks for all the help and patience.

You're quite welcome. Enjoy! You'll find 246 to be a pleasant experience.

I only had one issue. When I went to check if the dumb phone was on or off (screen blacked out after RSD step) it started booting up with the moto logo before I had a chance to try and hit all the buttons for recovery. It then held at the moto logo for a few minutes. One battery pull later with a few choice words, and I was in recovery.

A leaked OTA .zip build that simply hasn't gone official yet is a completely different animal than a custom ROM. You're comparing apples to oranges here.

I have a few questions before I go and do it, but I'm intimidated to ask as they have probably been answered in various spots in 200 page threads that I don't have time to sift through...
