I've been following this ICS drama since I joined in Dec 2011. It was just time for me to jump into the dessert aisle.
So? We've gone through 10 updates so far. 5 of which have been on the new security version. Do you see any of us going "oh ****, I can't believe I installed that 238 build and am now stuck there"? No? Hmmm. Wonder why that is.

Have fun w/your ICS date-nut... I can say having been on ICS for the last 3 weeks, it's great!
My wife has a Bionic too, but she's still stock 905 - but she isn't the kind to care much about things like that. It just works (no data drops), and she isn't comfortable going out of bounds much. Shoot, she doesn't even speed much...

So if the OTA release comes out, how do we confirm that it will be 246 and not 248? Because none of you did the OTA so you cant check for certain that the OTA release really IS 246. You have to find someone who got ICS the regular way and have them check what build it is to confirm for sure that the 246 leak is the final version

A leak is no different than the OTA. If it's .246 we will be the same as OTA. If it's .248 then we use HoB to get us there.
What if Motorola discovers we've been stealing their builds off of cheesecake and they put 248 on a completely different server thats more secured/hidden?

YES just baught the demo bionic at the local vz store that they were selling....246 and 1.2ghz on this one. Now I can keep my old 1ghz stuck bionic for backup
