Man you guys do a lot of extra work when I've tried REALLY hard to make the HoB as simple as I possibly can. *I* use BSR. Do you think I like cleaning that up every time? LOL! I'm lazy! The HoB flashes system and preinstall images from 905. It'll overwrite things like forever root, bootstrap recovery, battery mod things, etc. And since I'm flashing those images, freezing apps isn't going to break it, either. So keep the BSR app installed, run the update, then root, then have the BSR app install BSR and you're done. Nice, eh? :)

Excellent, that's exactly what I was hoping you'd say. :) So the frozen bloatware apps that the updater checks for end up getting flashed back with the .905 images, is that right? So I don't need to defrost them, but I'll need to re-freeze them afterwards? I knew the HoB was flashing parts of the .905 FXZ to get around the security issue, I just wasn't sure of the impact on frozen bloat/BSR.

Had to post to this thread just to say I was part of the 8million posts. As you can see, I post a lot. Lol. Seriously, I am a frequent reader of this forum and the last few days have been entertaining to say the least.

I must be the only hold out though. I am on rooted .905 and only want to do the update once. I am waiting until 10/15/12 and if no ota by then, I will join the House.

I am half with you..... I have one on 247 and one stock 905....

I'll let you discover for yourself the little secret that few know about having to debloat again after using the HoB. :D :D

Hey Sam? Did I remember you saying that you had to re-enable the disabled bloat before you flashed. The only reason I ask is I did not and yet when I look all of the apps I disabled are still disabled after the update to .247? Of course I could just be stupid and making **** up in my head.

So my Linux/Mac people....Good news, everyone. I can move you from 246 to 247 with the script I butcher.....er, put together and had my testers test for me. It's *BASIC* functionality. I MAY add root to it though before I post it. *ALL* this thing will do is flash the system and preinstall images from 905, the boot img from 247, and give you the steps to reboot into recovery to flash the update. You need to put the update on the sdcard yourself for now. This is the basic building block of a linux/mac HoB. It may or may not evolve over time. I just wanted to give the linux/mac users some love. I'll post it when I've cleaned it up a bit in the HoB thread. It'll be later tonight.

BAHAHHAHA. Really? Huh....that's odd. :D (No, I did not say you needed to do jack **** with your disabled apps....they stay the **** disabled through a HoB update. Nice, eh? :D)

You're making it really hard to stay on 905, work stuff be damned :)

All I wanted was a Pepsi, just one Pepsi...
